I figured since I made these and posted them about a year ago on the old official Guitar Hero forums, it's about time I shared these babies with you guys over here too. I included pics of the designs I used as inspiration and links to the original posts which describe how I made everything. btw the ice guitar looks a bit girly because I painted it for my girlfriend (fiance)

Wow, that fire guitar is awesome! when you turn it on does it stay on or do you have to hold the switch down? _________________

Since the Fire guitar shoots out flames, you should make the Ice guitar shoot a jet of liquid nitrogen or something. |

I'm stalled on that one for now after making a few failed prototypes. Both the fog machine and the a dry ice mods kept condensating in the tubing necessary to plumb it through the guitar.

Other than the aforementioned dry ice (CO2) mod I was working on, I've also been thinking about using liquid nitrogen. When released into the air, it condenses the moisure in the air and does create that fog effect and would be damn cold too. Unfortunately that would mean I'd build that device of questionable safety and feasabillty and only be able to use it when I smuggled liquid nitrogen out of work (which I do handle on a daily basis btw)

I took out the springs that would have pushed the switch back, so now it stays up when I push it up and have to deliberately close it when done.
So once it's lit, both my hands are free to play while "on fire"
I'd technically be able to light it with my right hand while doing an extended HO/PO section but I haven't really tried that move yet.
Thanks for all of the great comments. I have a wireless guitar now too that I haven't cosmedically modded yet. Who knows what I'll come up with next... |

Wow, the flamethrower is sick, and the designs on both the Fire and Ice guitars are awesome. Good job. _________________

Are the lighter fluid tanks refillable, or will you have to change them out completely when they run dry? |

If you are curious, I'd recommend checking out the full post here:
But, yes the tanks are refillable. They are from a BBQ lighter called the "Mega Match"

That has got to be one of the coolest ideas for a custom guitar ever, (the flamethrower one) How long did it take you to make?
I wish, I had the time to mod my guitar like this. _________________
