I've taken the liberty of putting together a bass expert FC list. I've played a lot more of the bass career now and have established a pretty lengthy FC list myself, so I feel that this list is now pretty accurate. However, there's always going to be room for improvement, so I'm always taking comments and suggestions.

For reference, whenever I say I'm moving something up, that means it's being ranked harder. If it's moving down, it's being ranked easier. I think we're getting closer to having this nailed down. There's a lot of debating on what should be the Top 10 and Top 5 hardest, and I'm still evaluating it all.

Thanks for all the input and keep it coming!

Edit: I added in all the DLC I have, which includes all the free stuff.

1. No Sleep Till Brooklyn – I really honestly think this is easier than What I've Done
2. What I’ve Done – This probably isn't as boring as No Sleep Till Brooklyn, though.
3. Float On
4. Aggro
Little Wing
Drive
5. Beat It – easy and repetitive
6. The One I Love - contains fast streak which is still easy, but harder than anything so far.
7. One Way or Another
8. About a Girl
9. On the Road Again
10. Too Much Too Young Too Fast – Whole tier is really easy
11. Pretty Vacant - Well, we all know Johnny Rotten can't play, so yeah.
12. Toy Boy - simple
13. The Eye of the Tiger - HOPOs possible choking point.
14. Stillborn
15. Shiver
16. Vinternoll 2
17. Up Around the Bend – nothing hard
18. Go Your Own Way
19. The Middle – purple HOPOs are the only choking point
Your Face
20. American Woman
21. Hotel California
22. Band on the Run
My Lucky Day - abundance of open note HOPOs may mess some up
23. The Wind Cries Mary – just a couple of weird things
24. Rooftops – actually really not hard at all, just pretty fast
Panic Switch - annoyingly repetitive
25. La Bamba
26. Some Might Say – not hard, but 1200+ notes makes it easy to choke somewhere
27. Escula de Calor – actually not hard at all for being so late into the career
28. Weapon of Choice - Orange to green pull-offs only thing keeping this from being rated really low
29. Nuvole E Lenzuola
30. Rebel Yell – 1000+ notes
31. Hail to the Freaks – just a few random HOPO sweeps
32. Monsoon – purple HOPOs make this a lot harder than it should be
33. The Joker
34. Beautiful Disaster
35. You’re Gonna Say Yeah!
36. Mountain Song – 1000+ notes
37. Today – first song that really makes much usage of HOPO open notes.
Electro Rock - HOPO open notes make an otherwise easy song a lot tougher
38. Lazy Eye – it’s just long
Zack Wylde Battle
Sacrifice
39. Never Too Late - this is final tier?
40. Livin on a Prayer - HOPOs in ending chorus
41. Misery Business – BOs require consistent performance from ring and pinky fingers or shifting to 3rd position
42. Re-Education Through Labor – annoying YBOBYR in the intro only real trouble spot
Born to Run - some tricky stuff
43. The Kill – the tempo is a little bit faster in this one.
44. Are You Gonna Go My Way
45. Everlong
46. Kick Out the Jams
47. Scream Aim Fire – not all that hard, just really fast and requires consistency.
Fire - just really fast
48. Dammit – Be prepared for a strumfest; this one moves at a pretty quick pace.
49. Good God
James Bond Theme - ending trill comprised of slider notes
50. Obstacle 1 - a lot harder than it looks
51. Feel the Pain – a little bit tougher with chorus and breakdown stuff
52. Do it Again – gets a little tougher in the second half
53. Spiderwebs
54. Demolition Man – extremely repetitive pattern
55. Santeria
56. Love Removal Machine –watch the ending
57. Freak on a Leash – somewhat tricky usage of open notes and hammers
58. One Armed Scissor
If 6 was 9 - some faster strumming in middle section[/color]
59. Ramblin Man - long and repetitive pattern
60. Love Me Two Times - easy to get tripped up in open note stuff
Jimi - similar to the guitar part, with a few pretty fast sweeps
61. Our Truth – some unique HOPO sequences
62. Satch Boogie
63. Love Spreads
64. Crazy Train
65. Antisocial
66. Hey Man Nice Shot
67. Hollywood Nights
68. Mr. Crowley
69. L’Via L’Viaquez - easiest of the final tier
70. Schism
Black Betty - tough middle section with quick alternating YRG YBO sweeps
71. Heartbreaker – easy song, but massive open note spammery at the end makes the FC insane
72. Sweet Home Alabama – long song w/ outro spammery similar to the guitar part
73. Pull Me Under – long song, some tricky parts
74. Parabola
75. Vicarious
76. Trapped Under Ice
77. Soul Doubt – tricky, especially the intro
78. Purple Haze – Tough overall, big ending
79. Assassin - tough repetitive pattern
80. Stranglehold - very long, tiring pattern with a ridiculous ending, especially for an 8 min song.
81. Overkill - really odd rhythm makes it hard to get the pattern down.
82. Prisoner of Society – Really tough fretting and strumming pattern reminiscent of Ballroom Blitz solo
Anything - Might be harder than anything else (no pun intended)
Ted Nugent Battle - insane outro
83. BYOB - first task is to figure out the rhythm and not overstrum
84. Hot for Teacher – sheer randomness of the outro, along with quick strumming burst about 45 seconds in elevates this to the top spot.

DLC Master List
I'll add in the rest of the Death Magnetic Stuff Later

Nice list, and i found the song you are missing. It is The Joker, which is a fairly easy song on bass.

you're missing The Joker. wow ninja'd

and What I've Done has gotta be the easiest. It's just so damn easy. Even NSTB is probably "harder"

wow is parabola really that hard o_O I played like 2 minutes of it and lost my sightread fc and tried it a few more times and got bored and quit. but it probably is pretty hard.

heartbreaker is probably the hardest so far, I'm only about halfway through the career

edit: sweet home alabama is hard too

Yeah, I finally figured out it was the Joker. As for the Tool, I put Parabloa highest of the three becasue its the only one I haven't five starred yet. If people don't think it's that hard, I can move it down. I think Schism is the easiest of the three, though, if I remember it correctly.

i would have overkill and hot for teacher moved down, pull me under should probably be moved up a bit, it only has two hard parts IMO. the three tool songs should be down there, but they're not the hardest i think. vicarious is definitely the hardest of the three, then parabola then schism. i might take a better look at this later, but that's what i have for now

I find Scream Aim Fire to be a matter of endurance. I get tired, miss a note, lol no FC. Once you figure out the speed, it gets easier because it doesn't vary (outside the breakdowns, but that's easy), but the tough part is maintaining it for 1200 notes.

No way is Re-Education Through Labor harder than Santeria. Almost sightread FC'd the former, I'm nowhere near the latter. Santeria has a weird rhythm and HO/PO placement on bass, as opposed to the easy rhythm of Re-Education Through Labor. The ONLY tricky thing about Re-Education Through Labor is those damned slider notes, and those aren't even that bad imo. Matter of fact, I'll say the same for Monsoon.

Our Truth, 64? Really? I don't see what makes it hard at all. That is way, way high unless I'm forgetting some ridiculous part. I'd probably put it below Damnit. Actually, Damnit is probably tougher than 35 too. I find it too fast for downstrumming, too slow for alt-strumming.

I think Heartbreaker should be closer to the 60s-70s
That ending is bullshit and a half

Is BYOB really the hardest?
A few people have already gotten it.

in terms of overall difficulty, definitely. the only contenders i would say are Overkill, Hot For Teacher, and Pull Me Under. Overkill is overall pretty hard, but not as difficult as BYOB (probably harder than the other two IMO). Hot For Teacher is only really difficult because of the end (the solo isn't too tricky once you know it and use the ho/pos). Pull Me Under only has two hard parts, those being the part just before pre-chorus 1 and the trill afterward (if you want to count that).

so yes, BYOB is really the hardest, it is one of only two songs on bass i've yet to FC, i've choked numerous times on Pull Me Under, but i'm no where close on BYOB (needs practice)

More input on what I've played:

TMTYTF and Aggro are VERY easy.
Parabola is pretty hard but I don't think it's that low.
Heartbreaker is definitely harder than Parabola, rest of that tier is very easy.
Sweet Home Alabama is very easy to choke at the end.
Love Removal Machine has weird random fast strumming near the end and is pretty hard.

Okay, I've done quite a bit of updating here. Heartbreaker, Santeria, and Sweet Home Alabama made the biggest jumps up the list. I don't know if those are ranked too high, but that's where they are for now. Re-Education thru Labor and Our Truth came down a little bit, as did The Middle and some other easy ones. There are quite a few others I've moved around too. I also updated the OP, so check it out if you haven't.

La Bamba is also really easy, much easier than Love Removal Machine.

Heartbreaker still needs to go down imo.

Rebel Yell = much lower. Yeah, 1000+ notes but there's barely any fret changes. I think you could fret this with your nose if your hand gets tired.

I would say, Mr. Crowley needs to move up a little.
Purple haze Down a few
Heartbreaker still up further.
and I would switch Overkill and Hot for Teacher

Santeria is a little overrated. Sightread fc'd it, still can't come close to Heartbreaker.

Float On should be in the top 5 easiest. No joke. That is just pathetically easy.
