I bought ARMax a few weeks ago and never really used it. But i have been playing Guitar hero since day one.. and since the two hidden songs are open, I have been wanting to play them. My first problem came with tripolette. With ARMAX, I can easily load the 'game', but when I insert GH in the ps2, it takes about a minute for it to read, and then it gets me to the cheat section. I have tripolette up and ready, and when I try to play the game without the cheat, it works, but when I try to play it with the cheat, the screen goes to 'loading game' then fades to black. I kept it there for a day and it did not change... obviously it froze or something. So I checked every line of that code and I found nothing wrong... That is my tripolette problem.. now to graveyard shift. I can't even get the code to work. I spent two pathetic wasted hours working with the god forsaken code trying to figure out where I went wrong and I could not find it... The code was completely correct ( I did it using the expert mode.. putting in the char's one at a time.. ) .. so .. Now I am still trying to work on tripolette.. and it is not working. I know it's not ARMax.. but could it be the PS2? it loads ARMax with ease. So.. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

All right.. After countless attempt, I put ARMax to the side. I just went to best buy and got the gameshark game codes w/ media player software YAY!!... not.... I put the disk in the PS2 .. and it loads the Playstation screen thing.. and then it shows a disk in the upper right hand corner of the screen.. the disk does 145 degrees.. and the screen goes black.. What the hell is going on?

Another update --- No progress at all.. if anything, my situation is regressing. Now neither disk is loading at all. I have no idea what is going on but does anyone have any advice? maybe a new product that is workiing flawlessly? Could it be the ps2? anything.. anything at all.

EDIT--- I was looking through some other topics and posts --- another thought.. Could my master code be incorrect? I really don't want to plug that 33 lines of raw code in again.. so. Be gentle...

Edit number 4--- Okay then.. After searching the web via google.. I learned that there is another code for trippolette...It was the iscool.trippolette or whatever it is. And I learned that my code is completely different from that.

My master code is also different. Out of curiousity.. I tried the iscool master code... and ofcourse, it didn't work --> 'unkown error' I am really losing my patience over this pathetic problem. Any help would be greatly... greatly appreciated. I don't wanna break another controller I'd have to buy a new one again...

Edit number 6-- Okay.. I tried the trippolette.iscool.net version.. The master code worked, but the code itself gives an error.. I have looked it over time after time.. and I can not find anything wrong with it. As far as I know.. they are identical, but I get an error.. I need.. help. If you haven't figured that out all ready...

Try the ones on the official gameshark code site. I have a gameshark v1.1 and have yet to get anything to work with mine either, so I feel your pain

welcome to the world of codes, most likely your PS2 f***** up cheating software, either that or your luck just sucks (mines worse I gaurentee) but maybe there's a mistake you keep putting in, review the codes, and the master codes and try again, if it STILL doesn't work, i have no frickin idea

Well I know that the ps2 I use is a first gen ps2, lol. It does freeze up sometimes on trying to load the gameshark and I get the disc rotating around 180 degrees then the screen either freezes or the background behind the main window flashes red (usually just resetting with the disc still in works and generally only happens after I've had a failed attempt at seeing a code work.)

I feel your pain here man, I'm not big on armax codes but... You could just try different Master Codes if there are some for armax (I've been told with the gameshark that the codes are the same for all versions but that the Master Codes will varying depending on the generation of the gameshark.)

Aside from this I do not really know what to tell you other than to maybe try on a friend's ps2 and see what happens? Maybe if you know someone with a new slim ps2 you could try on it and see what happens.

EDIT: Also, make sure when you have the gameshark in that you don't ahve anything plugged into the usb slots of the ps2, I know mine generally freezes if I have a usb pendrive in there when I boot it up ( at least that's what happened when I tried to use one)
