|

Currently, I just have one of the stock pads that comes with DDR Supernova 2. It kinda sucks and I am wondering what would be a good pad to get that isn't too expensive. _________________

What level of skill would you consider yourself in? Difficult-Expert? Expert- Challenge 10 footers?
You can try Red Octane's Ignition foam pad or their afterburner metal pad if you're really into the game (I wonder if they still make them). |

Says the bar whore. ;)
I'd say if you're into it, then go with a metal bad. But the downside is that it sounds like a one man arcade and it's loud as fuck, rofl. _________________

What happened to Cobalt Flux?
I'd get a USB pad so you can play on StepMania.
Forget Supernova. |

I dono, just make sure it's slip resistant and i think metal really aren't that great. I'd recommend the red octane one. _________________

Well, I personally use a Nexen metal pad, and I have to say, I like the quality of it. The style is slightly different from your standard arcade pad - the arrows aren't recessed as much - but I can tell you that it's stood up to my 230-pound body dancing away on it for a little over a year now.
You can find the pad on MyMyBox.com, and it's also a bit cheaper than some other metal pads, but I find that it works just as well. |

Unfortunately, it doesn't work on the 360. It may have a USB cable, but it does NOT have an Xbox 360 Guide button, and therefore is not recognized as a controller.
On a positive not, I also endorse the Ignition 3.0 made by Red Octane. At parties playing StepMania we had people up to 275 pounds playing on this thing without a problem.
The newer 5.0 version is available on Red Octane's website for $79.99. It works on all current systems EXCEPT the Xbox 360. _________________

They do. You can get a new one on redoctane.com. You have to find it in the controller section. It's also the new version. |

I'd rather get the RedOctane after burner. They make great controllers. |

Hey is the RedOctane ignition worse or better than the older ones? Sometimes things get worse when they get newer. Like the new GH controllers |
