|
|
First of all, I'm new to ScoreHero. But not to GH. And I don't own GH anymore, my PS2 has been stolen. So now, I'm going to show you how to separate guitar sound from a song. But one thing is keeping bothering me, I can't get drums or vocal to completely mute from the audio. So, you can hear rhythm guitar very loud but lead guitar is very slow. This method might not work on some song like Acid Rain by Dream Theater. I don't know why, maybe because mine is not original copy of that song? I get the song from my brother. So, let's get started.
Follow all of these steps.
Code: | 1. Get Audacity. You can grab it at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/. It's a cross-platform audio editor. NOTE:I RECOMMEND YOU TO GET 1.3 BETA AS THIS TUTORIAL IS MADE ON 1.3 BETA;
2. After done downloading, install it.
3. So now, run Audacity.
4. Load a song, you need a high quality song for best result. For example load The Crusade by Trivium.
5. Click the audio drop - down menu and choose Split Stereo Track.
6. After splitting, highlight the second track. And then, choose the Effects drop-down menu at the taskbar, choose utility and click invert.
7. After inverting, set all audio to MONO.
8. Then hear the song. For example, The Crusade by Trivium, you will hear the rhythm track with a really slow drums sound.
9. If you want to make the lead guitar more louder, duplicate the second track.
10. Done. Export it in any format you like. |
So, that's it, if there is already a tutorial like this in the wiki, you can lock this. And I got a sample of rhythm track of The Crusade by Trivium. Edited by me. You can grab the sample at here. If the tutorial is not working, tell me, maybe I missed something.

Maybe if you actually posted this in the right forum people would check it out.
I'll move it there now, but I'm pretty sure there are similar methods already discussed.
I also removed your link to the song, even if it is a separated track, it is still a copyrighted file. Don't post copyrighted material and songs on the forums. _________________
