Ive been waiting 3 hours for these results! XD

How can anyone get 98% on HFoB with no alt strum, anyway? I just wanna know their technique.

EDIT: I can believe the 98% due to the note streak, but the 240K+ scores sound fishy...

That's my little brother (by little i mean 25-yrs-old) - Darin
You really should see him play, he downstrums EVERYTHING, I pretty good w/it too, keeping my combo through about half the 's but eventually hand gave out.
That little bitch decided to get BETTER at GH1 than me list last month, so now i'm pissed, and seek vengeance next week. Arg.

EDIT: Oh, technique-wise, mine (and most likely his for this song) is to squeeze your thumb to your pointer finger, and just go bonkers, just short rapid spazzing taps, does pretty week actually

For playing each song once (except Unsung, which I played maybe 4 or 5 times) I'll take these results. Also I accidentally put 100% for callout, actually was 99%, score is right though.

As my brother stated, I suck at getting the beat alt. strumming anything, hopefully soon I'll video myself playing HFoB and Breaking Wheel with just down strumming so you can see. With just down strumming like mad hell I actually finished the rapid part of HFoB with a 4X multiplier (best i've ever done that part). My only goal this season (being all experts are lumped together, is to beat big bro, jerridthomas79

I actually got 99% on HFoB, but for some reason my %/NS wasn't included in the results above (it was 99%/210).

I'll try to explain my technique: I sit when I play, and I rest my wrist near the top of the guitar. I downstrum with my index finger, and my long finger rests on the index finger. This way I downstrum with the combined force of two fingers, which makes it extremely accurate and quite fast for me. For instance, I've FC'd Thunderhorse (hard) and 5*'d Breaking Wheel (expert) using downstrum only.

I might also add that I suck at alt-strumming. After getting GH2 I learned to alt-strum long sections of similar notes which occur in Misirlou, start/end of Six, start of TLTB etc. The only "complex" pattern I've semi-learned to alt-strum is the main riff of BatH.

In GH1 I only alt-strum (EDIT: wrote downstrum earlier) the orange streaks in HFoB and TF, but I almost never FC these sections.

The BFoB streak is about the highest speed I manage to downstrum while hitting most notes. Strangely, in my 242k run I held a 4x multiplier through half the orange notes, but had stupid misses on other parts of the song. With enough training, this song should in theory be FC-able using downstrum only.

I tried that, and yeah, I can strum a lot faster that way. I never would have thought of that!

To explain how I managed to end up with 247k in "Heart Full of Black", I used my star power in that orange streak, and lasted close to half the orange streak with star power (x8). Unfortunately, my arm gave way eventually. The speed's just double of the GR-GR-GR-GR/YB-YB-YB-YB-YB chords before each chorus, so it's definitely doable. And it helped that I didn't mess up elsewhere in the song too, unlike my rival in second place on that song

Well, after seeing the song selection for this week, I really need to stumble upon a good BaTM score for once, otherwise, toast. Oh, and that faggy Made in Mex song, i'm screwed regardless there.
I s'pose if you beat me this Season, and I of course slaughtered you last season, we may have to have a Season 3 for rubber match, unless we face each other in the playoffs (If they have playoffs this time)

Yes, for some reason my spreadsheet doesn't properly enter the second place people in the section that displays the individual song results, so they have to be entered in manually. I must have overlooked your % and note streak when I entered your score in.
