Question about scores?

How can you tell that someone is telling the truth about their song info? Like if the score is actually believable?

A picture says more than a thousand words and a video says more than a thousand pictures.

The excessive knowledge about this game is also a factor. The best guys knows what scores are achievable.

Otherwise it's just a matter of trust. Why would anyone want to cheat?

Like Chime says...those at the top usually get there by getting a 100% full combo in a song..and using an optimal, if not perfect star path..if somebody were to come along and claim they got 10000 more points on a song where a high score is already close to as good as it gets, then that score will be suspect.

If you were to post a high score on a song that nobody has yet achieved a 100%/full combo on...then people would probably want to see proof of this achievement (e.g...if somebody acutally claimed to have 100% BATM-expert...then that would be very suspect). Furthermore, I am pretty sure JC and others know what the full max combo note streaks are...and if you post a 100% high score that does not match that number...it would again be suspect..

in short...with months of experience, and thousands of submissions on this site, it would be hard to cheat...unless it was very subtle...

many false/fake scores have already been stricken from the records..

yeah, basically, if youre not ES, Krimsun, Random JHetfield or anyone up there, you got a lot of rep building to do
