So I go to play Guitar Hero last night, like I do EVERY single night... except this time I got the message "Memory data in slot 1 has been corrupted. Do you wish to save over it with a new file?"
Most of you know the terror those words bring. All the hard work we put into this game, it's enough to make anyone want to cry like a little baby. Not to mention that I had 5 starred No One Knows on Hard JUST the night before.(Which when I did it, I swore I would never play that song again except to 5 star it on Expert)
So I reset my ps2, hoping it was just a one time glitch. Alas, I lost all my GH data on my memory card. All that work, all those high scores.... Gone. Poof. Vanished.
Let this be a lesson to anyone who decides they enjoy a game enough to sink over 100 hours into it... BACKUP YOUR DATA ON A SPARE MEMORY CARD. If you don't, you will probably cry.
Worse part is, I havnt put any scores into score hero for a while, and was gonna update my SH scores later on this week. _________________

That sucks man. That happened to my Taiko Drum Master save file after I had beaten everything. Luckily my addiction to Guitar Hero has helped me overcome that loss.
Clean slates in games are sometimes fun, though. There's not much more motivation than having to get good scores in every song in the game again. Good luck. _________________

Nope.
All my high scores on here, I had beaten on my memory card. I had completed guitar god on medium, and passed practically every score I have posted.
I was going to update my scores later on this week. _________________

Well that sucks. I always have scorehero up whenever I'm playing ready to add a new high score in. _________________

having just finished 5-starring the first 4 sets of hard, I think I'll go do a backup of my save file now... uhm... yah.
Oh, and another vote for having Scorehero open while you play... I love being able to play through my PC just for that fact alone... if it was out in the livingroom, I'd have to haul my notebook out there and find someplace to put it, etc... I always enter em as I play em. |

lol...way to make him feel worse than he already does..unless you were forced to talk for an hour with Regis Philbin....THEN you'd feel pain... _________________

It does suck. >.< I used to play with Score Hero open, but I sucked at hard and expert, so I stopped inputing scores till I got better. As you can see if you look at my stats, I got better(Look at most recent scores)
But yeah. Lesson learned. Learned hard. _________________
