When strumming the main riff, i know you alt strum the 3 gallops but do you alt strum the chords afterwards? or down strum those?
Thanks |

That's personally how I do it, it takes a bit of stamina but it's really consistent.
Also: 3 gallops? _________________

Maybe he/she meant 3-note gallops? It's redundant, but I read it that way.
I actually alt-strum everything in Battery's verses, and I'm pretty consistent with it (only played GHM's Battery once, but I had to play Battery on RB2 a bunch to get the 5-star.) That said, I very rarely hybrid-strum anything ever. Try a few things and see what works for you, I guess. |

I alt-strum everything, the part you have to watch out for is the then it switches to
The one missing note can trip you up and make you overstrum. |

Well, the note's not really missing, there's just a yellow-blue chord there. Really, just do whatever seems easier to you, neither one's better than the other really. Personally though, I alternate throughout the song. |

If you have trouble with the gallops you can abuse the timing window and play it like instead of . _________________

I find that it's much easier to stay in rhythm if you do the way ShadowDude posted, as opposed to just alt-strumming through the whole thing. It's easier because every down strum is evenly spaced and on the beat, with some upstrums in between. In fact that's a pretty good formula for strumming almost any pattern. It only breaks down when it gets REALLY fast, like in War Ensemble. _________________
