|
|
Ok, so yesterday I took apart my SG to remove the clickers from the switch to quiet the strumbar. I took both clickers out from the switches and reassembled the controller to find the clicking had stopped, but the game didn't register anything when I strummed up.
So after taker a closer look, I've found that the black switch is loose from the board where it should be attached. I noticed that some hot glue was used to hold some other things in place? Should I try using that or solder it?
I can provide pics of the problem also. _________________

Well provided you did not break the solder joints at the bottom you should just be able to hot glue it back down to secure it.
Make sure you did not bend the contact inside the switch as you reassembled it as well, there is a little grove down the inside of the switch housing that the contact plate should slide into. |

I checked the contact in the switch first and it was fine, so I hot glued it yet no luck. I guess the only option is to try to solder it now? _________________
