It was a few episodes into the first season, it was raining, and he was running from a sparrow, or something. _________________

I really enjoyed reading this, but I have one question. If Paul is trying to get him out of his coma, then why is he Ash's darker side? Is it because he is willing to force him to wake up in any way possible, even if it means not solving his issues and results in brain damage? Is that why he is portrayed at as the "bad" side of Ash?
Besides that question, all in all it is a great read. I mean, obviously the writers weren't thinking about all of this when they wrote the script, but it's just a very intellectual and psychological way to think about the show. _________________

He was carrying Pikachu from being attacked by the flock of Spearow, in the second or third episode in the first season. _________________

Lol, when I saw Pokemon,I just though video games, my bad (I read it, just sorta forgot it was the tv show, my bad). Did you write all of this? Or did you find it somewhere else? If the answer was the second one, where did you find it? I bet it has more interesting stuff. _________________

wow, that was awesome. I never really watched the show after the first season or whatever (like when he went to the Orange Islands), so a lot of the later stuff I barely know what they are. (May, Dawn, Paul, etc.)
a few things though- Giovanni is Ash's father? is this just speculation or is there actual evidence in the show... I'm confused.
the possible endings were pretty cool, I think. The one where he dies was kind of obvious, but the second one gave me chills. That would be quite epic indeed.
yeah, pretty damn good literary analysis... almost anything can have a symbolic meaning, apparently. _________________

I just remember from the first episode or so some Pidgeys eating worms, and wondering what kind of Pokemon those were.
And I assume Pokemon did die in the series, because you know, Cubone's skull mask (which is kind of creepy now that I think about it). Unless it was somehow born with it. |

Okay so I finished reading that. Holy shit that's so complex and at the end I was almost crying about how this ruined my childhood. That is some interesting shit there and whoever wrote that deserves the world's largest cookie _________________

This.
This is also one of the most in depth, craziest, anythings, about a theory I think I've seen. _________________

I always wondered about the existence of real animals in Pokemon. I remember in the S.S. Anne episode, when they sank and they looked out the window there were real fish.
This is a very depressing way to think about this show (putting aside the fact that it's obviously not what was intended). An ending with everyone around Ash disappearing and Pikachu slowly running towards him would easily make guys everywhere who grew up watching it pretty damn miserable. His final words would be come off as corny though.
There's no way they could end the series like this though; you can't have an episode trying to explain what everything represented, and you can't just show an ending where Ash either wakes up or dies and then assume the audience understood the metaphors of sexuality etc. because there aren't any obvious clues and situations that would point to this kind of conclusion.
EDIT: there's something that I don't like about this theory, but I'm double checking the old episodes to see if the hole I'm thinking of is backed by them. |

The target demographic just got a little higher.
Seriously though, that was mindblowing. Any idea who wrote that? I would really like to know. _________________
