Thread title formerly "Anyone excited for Borderlands?"and "Borderlands is awesome, amirite?"
I sure am. It looks like a very badass game. The random weapon generator, the 4 classes, the co-op, and the graphic style look very awesome indeed. Is anyone else excited? Who is going to buy it? _________________

YES. Incredibly excited. I've been waiting for this game for months. Imagine how mad I was on the September 30th when I learned the release date was bumped to the 20th.
I just hope that this game isn't a disappointment. I hope it's not linear or anything.
I'm especially excited for the vehicular combat. And the HALF A MILLION WEAPONS. |

1000%. Judging by the early word-of-mouth, I'm betting it'll be a huge sleeper hit. The melding of genres could go either way, but I'm taking a chance and buying it day one. _________________

I was excited at first, but I decided to wait to get this game, since I was already getting Brutal Legend and then decided to go for Call of Duty for the multiplayer value.
I love how it reminds me of Fallout 3, but it'll be bringing better and more reliable combat and alot of variety with the unique weapons. I'm hoping it's a really good game that I might save for Christmas. Also what will make or break this game is if it'll be customizable like Fallout 3. That'll keep a game going for awhile if you can reskin, add missions, add new areas, etc... |

The following words caught my attention:
"First-Person-Role-Playing-Shooter".
I wanna know how THAT works lol. I'ma gonna look up a gameplay vid later lol.
EDIT:
And by "later", I mean when youtube stops being a non-functional web-site >_>. It doesn't even work on the Wii... even worse, other sites like Cinemassacre and thatguywiththeglasses work, which are usually the sites that DON'T work between the two types.... _________________

Gah, I just don't know what to think of this game.
The concept of a FPS RPG is one that I've brewed on for a long time but I'm not sure how I think about it. Bioshock was fantastic, but the RPG elements in that game were limited at best. Certainly what 2K is aiming for here is an FPS with RPG elements, not the other way around (they have said so themselves), and I'm curious as to how far they can mesh the two together. It's a bold concept that has to be incredibly hard to pull off -- what I've seen so far looks good, but I think I'll wait until a final verdict is on the wire before voting with my wallet.
A four pack is only 33.75 a copy right now on Steam, which is a great deal for anyone checking this out on PC. I hate decisions...I'm not even sure what platform I'd buy it on if I got it! _________________

a pistol that shoots shotgun shells? Win.
This is looking like its gonna be the type of game I was hoping fallout 3 was gonna be - as fun as it was, fallout 3 did not have an FPS feel at all... |
THIS.
I want this game to be HUGE. Gigantic. Tons of stuff. |
