...And Rivalry For All - Round 2 (AIE?, MF, FtB)

Hey guys, gals, and Galileo's!

I searched for a GHM voxtar rivalry, and nothing came up!

So, I decided to start one.

The rules are as follows:

1. You must be playing by yourself. The definition of Voxtar is a single person playing guitar and vocals at the same time. Don't have a second person play with you.

2. You must play on Expert for both instruments. It might be cheating if you get a higher note streak for a song, but playing on Expert will give you more points, which is the main determiner for this rivalry.

3. You can play either in quickplay or career. The scoring will be the same for either mode, so you can use either mode.

4. You can use any system. Wii, PS3, PS2, or Xbox 360, you can use any system!

5. You can set up the microphone any way you want. I use a screw on camera tri-pod and sing "Lemmy" style. You can use an actual mic stand, stick the mic up your shirt, or even rest it on a surface, you just need to be able to play.

6. You can activate Star Power any way you want. Even though Star Power is shared, sometimes you want specific instruments to activate it. You are allowed to activate Star Power however you want though.

I hope you understand how many guidelines you'd need for this.

The songs will be chosen like this: 3 songs will be chosen each week, one by the three lowest ranking players of the last round.

Yeah. I guess doing it by career is a bit lame. But no Donnington Parks until right at the very end.

And I suck at drums on Toxicity. It's really hard. I have to drop down to medium because they're so erratic.

And Fuel is a great pick. It's great for singing, and will totally test the vocals.

I was thinking next round we could do Orion, just to get it out of the way.

I'd like to join this, never played voxtar or even vox on expert but whenever I'm playing GH:M I'm singing along anyway so how hard could this be?

Well, I guess 4 voxtarists is enough to start the rivalry. How's it for song suggestions? I'll get some easy songs out of the way. I'll pick For Whom the Bell Tolls as my song.

We'll need 2 more songs for the round. For later rounds, everyone but the person who scored the most points in total picks the next round's songs.

When will the first round end?

Fuel would be a fun song. What to do for the guest act tho? I vote for something like Turn The Page or Toxicty. Sometime we have to do Ace of Spades, but that is a pretty hard song to sing and play together. As is War Ensemble. I doubt ill be able to pass that song
So how are we supposed to enter in our scores? Do you want all three notestreaks (band, vocals, guitar), both percentages, and the overall score? Tell me what you need so i can post my scores as soon as i can.
oh, and if i post my score... but then end up with a better score, may i post the better score? or am i only allowed to post my score once?

I posted picture links for all my songs for proof.
I didn't do very well at all for some of these. Fuel was ok and For Whom the Bell Tolls could have been better for vocals... and for Turn The Page, I had an immensely hard time passing the song. It took me forever to hit the right pitch while playing the guitar. Did anyone else have this problem?

Munchlax, how will each rounds winner be determined? Do you just sum up all the songs' scores or will you be doing something else for the total?
