GH80s has a good setlist, but only 30 songs and can get kind of boring.
GH1 also has a good setlist, but the ho-pos suck and the timing window makes it real hard to hit notes.
GH: Aerosmith is real fun, but all of the Aerosmith songs get kind of boring. However, the story line imo is amazing and so far its my favorite game out of the three. |

guitar hero 1 is great, and its tons of fun trying to strum everything, worth buying..
guitar hero 80's is also tons of fun, almost every song has a really fun solo, also worth buying
guitar hero aerosmith.... is a steaming pile of horseshit.. dont buy it... you'll regret it _________________

GH1 has a very nice setlist, and nice charts etc... But its EXTREMELY annoying if you like me, are buying it after the later games, because of the hopos. You will basicly be pissed off at the game most of the time while playing.
GH80:s is a great fun game, it is worth it.
Gh:Aerosmith sucks badly, especially on the PS2, its unplayable because of the aerosmith background. |

You are kidding that the storyline is great. Right? This is Guitar Hero, we don't need no stinking storylines.
The order I rate the games is probably. 80s > GH1 > GHA
80s is only just a little better than 1. I really like both. But GHA is just too damn easy and the songs are boring. Rent aerosmith and play through it. It doesn't warrant a buy. _________________

80's. 80'S! EIGHTIIIIES!
Seriously, GH80s is a real gem. I'd far rather have 30 amazing songs than 70 mediocre ones. It's up to you, but 80s is a good buy and has some really challenging solos - the ones everyone knows, Ballroom Blitz and Because, It's Midnite - but also some others like Electric Eye, Play With Me (the Hangar 18 of 80s), I Wanna Rock, Round and Round, Seventeen, No-One Like You...
Oh, and it has the obligatory "crazy tier 1 solo", too, in the form of Metal Health.
GH1 and GHA I can't speak for, but I highly recommend getting 80s _________________

I mean, I get that you have a plucky spirit and a willingness to try new things, but there's a limit, man. | I might knock it down to just Thursday and Friday. |

Hmm. GH1 is what, $40 now? I'm pretty sure that's what I bought it for back in April, and I don't regret it. It might be my favorite out of all of the main titles; as long as you're not one for relying massively on HOPOs, go for it.
The other two I don't own yet, but there are countless other topics on the board about Aerosmith, many of which compare Aerosmith and 80's specifically, so go ahead and take a look at them. _________________
