Should this be linked here?
http://www.scorehero.com/custom_songs.php
I know it's not a thread here and isn't directly related to dB, but it would be a very useful link. Does Nick or anyone else have comments on this? _________________

*If this post doesn't belong here, please remove it. I dont want to look stupid *
I've been searching through the software forum for about 2 hours now, and i can't find anything about customizing themes etc. for FeedBack... The readme doesn't help much... and i don't want to screw up dB by just throwing random files in there... Are there any guides/does anyone know how to customize themes in dB?? _________________

I wonder if there's a way to delete hammer-ons for certain part of the song, for example:
These are note that you would like to strum up and down fast. I don't want there to be hammer-ons so is there a way to do that instead of having a very high BPM.
I'm using Feedback ofc =) |

The only thing you can do in dB to make sure it'll not be HOPOs in any GH is to double (or quadruple or ...) the BPM, at least in that part of the song, so that those notes are farther than 1/8th notes. _________________

I've tried just about everything I can think of, but when I open dB and I'm at the chart editor, everytime i try to go up, it takes me back down without me hitting the down arrow. Anyone know how to fix it?
EDIT: Didn't realize how old this topic was... my bad |

I know I will sound stupid, but how do you prevent the song from starting right at the beginning of the chart? Can you do this without editing the mp3? _________________

In FeedBack, no. You must edit the mp3 (and if you're smart you'll convert it to .ogg for use in dB).
When importing the chart into the game, you can use your edited audio file (as in the one you added a few seconds' silence to) with a 0 offset, or you can use your original audio file (the unedited one) and use an offset. The former is usually preferable as there's no room for error as long as your chart was properly synced in dB. _________________

I'm just starting to read how to make custom songs and this is really going to help me start out on what I need to do. Hopefully I'll be able to make it work. Thanks. |

I've been looking hard, but I can't find any posts detailing information on the .chart format as would apply to conversion. I understand and use the available conversion utilities, but was hoping someone might have some info on the file specs readily at hand since multiple converters have been released. Appreciate any help. |
