Has anybody ever noticed that every good breakdown in Guitar Hero consists of a certain pattern of a:
Green-Red chord
Like in Raining Blood you've got the epic
 ---- ---- ---- ....
then,
You've got Scream Aim Fire with the
 (sustain) (susatin) ....
Has anyone else ever noticed that besides me? _________________

Because they're all EXTREMELY low chords. The Rabl breakdown is probably played:
E
B
G
D 2 2 ------- 2 2
A 2 2 ------- 2 2
E 0 0 ------- 0 0
While Scream, Aim, Fire is played in Dropped D tuning which would mean that breakdown looks something like:
E
B
G
D 0 0 0 ------- 0 0 ----------- 2*
A 0 0 0 ------- 0 0
D 0 0 0 ------- 0 0 etc etc
As you can see, chord composition is basically the same/around the same area on the neck, so its logical to assume that they'd be charted similarly.
Edit: Also, fail tab is fail. _________________

I thought this was the exception to that rule
Also, Bang Yer Heads in The Way it Ends only has four GR chords, but mostly consists of other stuff
Laid to Rest breakdown is GY chords _________________

Eh. According to my Guitar World, Scream Aim Fire is in E, a whole step down(So D G C F A D).
Slayer Breakdown also starts in the lowest octave of Eb(Since they down tune a half step), but actually moves up to a slightly higher octave once the "Breakdown riff" starts.
that aside, however, Yes, the GR represents the lowest possible chord playable, and most breakdowns are the lowest chord playable(atleast in Metalcore). _________________

Pretty much every metal breakdown ever is Esus5, or another low chord, so that's why. Need more breakdowns tbh, i'm thinking of one in particular... ;)
i.e. WHERE'S MY FRICKIN PANTERA _________________

GR is easy to hit and you don't want to have to scramble to get the right fingering while you're headbanging! |
