Any news on a Mid to Chart converter?

It would be so much easier to sync songs up if you could make the chart in the program you want, export as Midi, and open in Feedback. It takes a long time to sync up for me otherwise.

And im almost done with eruption. This would be great to help sync it up becasue Im having trouble with it.

I'd definitely like to have one too... unfortunately I wouldn't know where to begin programming one. If someone who knows how but doesn't have the time were to give me a good start... well I still probably wouldn't be able to do it, but I'd try.

You really need to make this mp3 compatible, because converter trials only last so long. >_>

Other than that, really nice program you got here.

Audacity is open source freeware and will convert OGG to MP3 or MP3 to OGG.

Well I did try to slow it down to 75%, but it doesn't automatically reset or go to the blue screen of anymore, it just freezes, and a loud repeated clicking sound is heard.

First off, this is SO much easier for changing tempo than switching between a few programs. Thanks!

Second, is there an option for triplets? Or is that what the odd steps are? ie: 1/6 1/12. 1/24? Wonder if I just answered my own question... O.o

Depends on your time signature. With 4/4, 1/12 would be triplets I believe.

Great program! I'm having lots of fun with it.

I would like to know if it's possible to have different time signatures than 'x/4'. For example, I'm trying to do a section which is three measures of 4/4, followed by one measure of 3/8. I know I could fudge it, but I'd like the beats to line up with the heavy white lines on the fretboard.

The game only supports x/4 time signatures.
3/8 will line up fine in 3/4 anyways.
Do a search here, this has been up many times before.

Yeah, I'm using 4/4. sorry, thought I posted that... :/ Anywho, thanks for replying. I think I figured this out for anyone who's wondering this question later on.

quarter note triplets - use 1/6
eighth note triplets - use 1/12
sixteenth note triplets - use 1/24

I gather that triplets are essentially inversely proportional to dotted notes in duration, right? If that formula is correct, then I'm guessing:

dotted quarter note - use 1/3
dotted eighth note - use 1/6
dotted sixteenth note - use 1/12

That is NOT correct. Dotted notes just make the note last one half longer than the beat of the original note. So, a dotted quarter note would be the same length as three eighth notes. 3/8 is not equivalent to 1/3.

I like your programm, I used it for my first chart "Hunting For Witches" by Bloc Party, but I still got a problem, when I try to load the .chart-file in Ghex, Ghex adds some notes I didn't want there, so I wondered if you could help me please with this problem, I don't know whether it's a bug of Ghex or it's a fault in the chart-file I edited with Feedback 0.4b...

Thanks, samqwe

as a quick fix, extract it back out of ghex as a .mid and then fine tune in anvil. that way you can still use feedback as the creator for everything, then polish as needed.

It is a bug in ghex that I have fixed, but I have not yet release a new version.
I'm going to real soon, just need to improve the whole "bad archive" thing first..
