It could've been yours

So today was Spirit Day, and we had a pep rally. One of the contests was a half court shot. There's 4 guys in our class, and 2 of us are on the team. One isn't on the team but is still ok. Then there's a crap farmboy. He gets to shoot since we're on the team and get to play every day. (His crap reason) First round, everyone misses. He gets no where NEAR the rim. 2nd round. He misses. Horribly. Again. So, after the pep rally we had practice. I get a basketball, and shoot a halfcourt shot. I make it. I was pissed.

So, any of you ever have moments where you could accomplish something or get a reward but someone comes at the last minute or just ruins it?

(PS: Our history teacher did a hook shot from half court and won it.)

I have missed the solo to a million different songs in guitar hero while playing the song, but then I FC them constantly in practice. It happens over and over. It is important to know that this isn't just luck. With so much less pressure on you, it is easier to accomplish something (depending on what it is).

my first guitar hero tourney. i got to play first, and did pretty weel except for a few mistakes. they cost me though..someone comes out of the blue and beats my score by 2-3k =/ (the next week i redeemed myself and beat him twice =p)

One time a soccer game I was in went to shoot outs. My coach really wanted me to shoot but I didn't want the pressure. Only one person made a shot because he picked one good guy and 4 scrubs. Btw, the other team made only 2 shots so we could have won.

Only one person from each class (7th, 8th, Fresh, Soph, Junior, Senior) got to shoot.

The prize was like $10 I think.

So yeah, he shot when there were 3 other people (including me) who could've shot and had a better chance.

I choked pretty epicly twice in a guitar hero tournament. In the semis I missed the very last note (which is a long hold) of raining blood. I got super lucky and still won by like 100 points...but then in the finals we were playing cherub rock and I missed in like 5 easy spots, a couple times during star power, and ended up losing by 3k. The winner won 4 tickets to an a7x show =(
I ended up winning 2 tickets to a dream theater show that I didn't get to use cause I moved across the country before the show lol :P

Jefe is my story that has me kicking myself.
About two weeks ago it was our schools winter concert, and the Latin band Bomba was the special guest. These guys are good, one of them has a Grammy and two others have had nominations. So we go up to play a song with them and they were playing in front of us, and me playing the conga's they invited me up to play with them. I said no.

Why did I do that?!?!?!!
It makes me sad to think about it.
