|
|
Well i have been searching high and low for the past month for a new guitar and i decided on Mexican Telecaster
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-Standard-Telecaster-Electric-Guitar-103576880-i1148825.gc
the only issue i have with it is it isnt a 22 fret.
However looking around, the next cheapest i can find that fits my needs is a wonderful $1200
my budget is about $400- $450
does anyone even know if they MAKE 22 fret Mexis? |

21 is enough.
But if you really want it, either replace the neck, or do it yourself if you know how. _________________

i have no idea how i would add an extra fret to a 21 fret guitar...
on a side note how much would a 22 fret maple neck and fretboard run me? |

if the guitar is made and setup with a 21 fret neck/fretboard. changing it to a 22 will probably cause some intonation/tuning/action problems. what is so dire that you need it to have 22? do you honestly do that much playing up there? if you do then you shouldn't be looking at a telecaster imo. |

Which is why I said to either get it done by a pro, or do it yourself if he's experienced. If one knows how, they can do it without any issues after. _________________

go with a prs se series, same price, way better quality, tone etc. i personally hate fender necks (fretboard is too round, and IMO uncomfortable) also i think the prs is just better all around, i bought one and i love it, check it out |
