Wow, um.....I only like, like 2 Van Halen songs.
My dad would buy it though, he;s a huge VH fan. _________________

Ok instead of just saying this game sucks because they are releasing too many games, let me ask 2 questions that legitimately question this game.
1. Does Van Halen really have that many good songs? Sure there's Panama and stuff but like, they are gonna be digging for songs here.
2. What about Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony? For the first, are they just going to totally disclude any song made after David Lee Roth or are they including them both? And for Anthony, he isn't even playing with them anymore! It's Eddie's teen age son on bass, so is he going to be in it?
I just think this is a bad choice as far as a band game is concerned, even worse with the fact of all the games being released. |

And they are still releasing DLC for WT on a weekly rate, so it's not like they are just gonna abandon the DLC ship. | And that's exactly what I'm doing. I know that they aren't forcing me to buy these games. I've made a decision that I don't like the way they're pumping these games out and I'm doing the only thing that I have the power to do: I'm not buying it. |
So you are telling me that whole big dramatic rant you just posted was all just a tl;dr for "If I don't like this content I won't buy it", which is what everyone should be doing already?
.... I dunno, that just doesn't seem nessecary. |

The line has been drawn. I am freaking done. I've owned every console game in the series except for Aerosmith (which I borrowed on a more or less permanent basis), and had planned to probably continue that trend. But, looking at the dumptruck full of games that their looking to drop on me... I'm walking away. Unless they pull something absolutely magical out of that dumptruck of content, I've lost interest.
It just feels like they're soullessly pumping these games out for a quick cash-in. I know that the business world is all about making money, but you could at least make it seem like you don't see your customers as walking sacks of money.
Official Pledge: I'm not spending any more money on anything related to Guitar Hero or Rock Band* unless it's "god tier" content.
*That's how fed up I am, I'm taking it out on other companies. |

I believe what he said was unless they pull something "magical" out of their dump truck of content, he's not buying. Meaning: I am not going to buy anything unless it is AMAZING. Mediocrity is not something that should be introduced into a franchise like this because they feel the need to flood the market with utter crap.
It was easy to avoid when other companies were ripping off HMX and Neversoft for their ideas and flooding the Rhythm Game market with shitty imitations, but it looks like the industry is going to cannibalize itself at this rate. |

Van Halen does really have a lot of good songs. I went to their reunion concert.
They'll probably not include them because most people don't like Van Hagar. They'd put Wolfgang on bass definitely.
I kind of agree, I love Van Halen, but I'd prefer like a 10 song DLC pack. _________________

A GH: Van Halen game would be amazing! For those of you who don't think that Van Halen doesn't have enough good material to necessitate an entire game, have you ever heard Van Halen's first album? They could put that entire thing on there and it'd rock. _________________

why so many games? they should just make one GOOD game and release a shitload of DLC, just my opinion, but band hero and dj hero will fail hard.

I actually don't care how many games they produce, if the quality is okay. I use Guitar Hero and Rockband for hearing new kinds of music i didn't know... so i'll probably buy em' all! _________________

Yup, that's how I feel.
And as much as I like DLC, I feel comfort with discs that aren't tied to my particular console (at least that's how DLC is on the Wii).
I tend to only buy DLC that I know the songs or the band (I've made a few exceptons). Discs expose me to songs and artists I wouldn't otherwise have listened to and like, like The Killers. |

At this rate it won't be long before titles like "GH: Tokio Hotel"
This is one good reason that I'm sticking with my PS2 at this point. GH:GH being the last confirmed for that console. _________________
