Easy way:
Use the HDD transfer cable to hook up your hard drive to your PC, I believe they are similar to the Drum MIDI cable in terms of availability (I think its free)
Hard Way:
If your PC has a SATA connector inside, open your 360 HDD with a T8 Security Torx, and plug it in.
$$$ Way:
Fork out like $40 for an XSATA or something similar.

Once connected, don't format anything if asked, just open XPlorer360 and go to Open>Harddrive/Memcard
As to where the DLC is saved at, I don't remember, try searching around.

Also, Google has answers, too.

i was being an ass because you asked the same questions like 4 times. I figured out how to mod a ps2,xbox,xbox 360 via google. not to mention this little thing (how to get things off your hard drive)

I could write an entire guide on how to export DLC, but I won't because it's impossible. You could get the chart file out fine, but the audio format they used for that game is a special kind of format that can only be decoded if you have the audio program from a xbox 360 dev kit.

You can always use a tuner and play the song in easy mode. Make the guitar sounds a 100% and turn off the others to 0.

yea thats why if you go to the FOF page and get the dlc, its not the audio on the 360, its just an mp3 of the audio

it's not just the mp3 of the song on FoF,
it has 3 channels(guitar.ogg, rhythm.ogg, song.ogg)

I surprised this thread isn't locked yet,
even though we own the DLC tracks,
we only own the rights to play them in GH3/GH2/GHWT.
It's written somewhere in the XBL agreement,
it says not to tamper/modify with downloadable content(something like that)

okay not mp3, you prob knew what i ment. i was just saying its not the orginal music from the 360, its your own music track. lol. yea i belive this will be locked. . . . now!

actually... the current FoF versions of the GH3 dlc are recordings from the game in no fail mode. each song took three recordings to get the tracks. I didn't do them, but i know the person that did.

It seems almost comical that FoF is like a bad word around here, yet most people around here use the offerings from FoF to do their customs.
