Most of my dreams are short and contain bits and pieces of random thoughts I'll have during the day. I rarely remember any of them. However, whenever I experience intense Deja Vu, which is far too often, I'll have the same vivid dream with slightly different details. This all started with an idea I had for an album cover and a nightmare I had long ago, only now they are fused and much more disturbing.

I start in the same place each time: my old apartment complex's parking lot. I'm being chased by nothing at first, and as soon as I turn to look I stop running. When I look back I'm face to face with myself. In the original nightmare I would be looking at a ghostly young girl that I can't recognize. The conversation remains the same though. I ask him why he's after me and he repeats what I say while I say it, answering his own questions. An 'M' sits freshly carved in his forehead, which I have related to Dragonball Z's Majin Stamp. In the original nightmare, the girl says "I don't know, loneliness?" and flys into someone's car while they enter it. The windows fog up instantly and the car shakes. Reminds me of Nedry's death in Jurassic Park.

In this new dream, he says nothing in response. The moment I try to move the scene changes. This is where each dream differs. One time I ended up outside of a fictional school from a past daydream where I saved it from a giant meteor by shooting a Kamehameha wave directly into it. That was years ago, yet every detail returned. Other times the location is some random spot near my house. I walk a few paces and then turn to face someone new each time. Girls I was attracted to, family members, people I've never met. Regardless of who it is, they are terribly sad. I say nothing, then shoot up high in the sky and explode the same way Vegeta does in DBZ. Once I leave the ground my perspective switches so I can now see myself ascending. The blast is spectacular.

I haven't been bothered by this until recently, when the person who was sad was the woman I'm in love with. She spoke this time, but I can't remember what she said. Once I became aware I woke up. It was the only time I didn't detonate myself and I'm curious to see what the next one will be like.

The image of myself with an 'M' carved in my forehead was the album idea. This is what I get for pulling all-nighters working on band material...

You say your perspective switches, so I can only assume you usually dream in first-person and the perspective becomes third-person?

I feel like there could be some symbolism in the exploding part of the dream, but I wouldn't know what it could be. Maybe the explosion is just that cool-looking, though. (Upon looking at a video of it from the show, it does look cool...) The fact that you didn't detonate in your last dream seems pretty interesting as well...

Obviously, a lot of these dreams are connected to DBZ, specifically the Majin Buu part of the series, it seems. The M Symbol, the explosion (which, if I saw the right video, happens so Vegeta can kill Majin Buu or something like that,) and the kamehameha all fit prominentely with the assumption. DBZ seems to be an inspiration to your creativity, in my personal opinion. I'm not sure if those elements of your dreams are any more symbolic or relevant to you, though.

Yep, even had some Cake too. Everything was complimentary at the Neutral Milk Hotel.

Oh, I might have seen you there. Weren't you visiting over... Vampire Weekend?
Ha, I crack myself up.

Where is this "Neutral Milk Hotel"? My guess is Bosten or Chicago.

Wrong on both counts. Kansas.

No dammit, I have to stop!

The weirdest dream I've had:

So I wake up and look out the window and zombies are everywhere. I quickly take a shower (I don't know why) and left for walmart (they sell guns ya know?). I go to the back of the store, and find the gun section. I survey the selection: Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Wii Remote + Nunchuck. I chose the wii remote of course. I went outside and started shooting the zombies with bullets that were magicalling appearing when I hit B. Then it turned into a Time-Crisis type of arcade game. I won and ran for the next town.

You are correct about the perspective.

I haven't really cracked this one open and examined what each scene symbolizes, if there is any symbolism at all. I just immediately noticed the underlying DBZ influences. This one dream is made of two unrelated ideas. I didn't explode in the original nightmare and I hadn't seen that Vegeta scene yet either, so I'm sure it's just there to look cool.

What I'd really like to figure out is why I'm seeing another me. I'd like to have the 'M on the forehead thing' be a symbol of sorts for my band, Minion, and looking at it in such detail in my dream is probably a sign that I need to continue working. After having this dream so many times you'd think I'd be able to become aware much faster, but I never really know until I lift off the ground. But seeing her probably made my body react differently. I can't explain it. I'd rather have my childhood dream of dancing to Thriller with a bunch of crash-test dummies. Best 20 seconds I've ever spent asleep.

I had an odd dream. Our school was going to have these Olympics type things. We just do crazy stunts, and the people who don't do it lose. The winner ends up getting like some prize. Anyway, the first challenge was you get kicked in the balls, then jump and grab a zipline to take you down a hill. I went first of course, and got kicked in the balls. I then jumped for it, but missed and started rolling down the hill at like 30mph. Everything was upside down and spinning and crap, and then eventually I come to a ramp at the bottom. WAT?! I am launched forward into the air, going like stomach wrenching fast, dodging like these metal swingsets and stuff, and then eventually come to a barrier. Anyone who lives in my area (Doesn't McLovin?) should know what Cascade Park is. It has this huge hill that leads to it that a bunch of people run down tripping or sled down. Anyway, I was launched and came to a barrier that seperated Cascade Park and where the zipline was. I just stopped right before a fence that said "Anyone who passes this fence will be shot on sight." Then I ran back and no one even noticed that I was launched that far. I was angry.

Things that might make more sense:
I might have thought of the kick in the balls thing cause I saw a youtube video of a person doing that to random people. The reason I dreamt of the sign, was probably because of seeing an Area 51 show (Area 51 has signs like that all around) or on the finale of Left 4 Dead's Blood Harvest, there is a sign like that.

I had a weird dream last night.

I was out doing something and I guess I snuck out or something. The first thing remember is running down my street trying to get back home. I was almost there. I could see it. There was also a giant mob. It was a GANG WAR. I was freaking out. I sprinted pass the guys all wearing black shirts and huge baggy jeans (and they were all black ¯\(°_o)/¯). They were doing some West Side Story dancing, though. They were all dancing, hopping around and over stuff. I was going "WTF?" I ran down my driveway almost to my back door. There's someone (a white kid) fighting this autistic guy on my track team. Poor Gavin. I run inside, surprised the back door is open, and into my room, unnoticed by my parents. I look outside my window and see them. There are two guys just fighting each other as soon as I look, then they all dog-piled each other. Then after that I woke up to Baba O'Riley realizing that my dream was over. ;_;

All I can remember is Mauvais Garcon playing in the background, Call of Duty: World at War Nazi Zombies, and me being one of the two guys defending ourselves. I think my HUD (Yes, I have a HUD in my dream) said I had a ray gun at stage 15.

Once I had a dream that Dr House came flying down in a Vending machine helicoopter, yes a vending machine helicopter, and i grabbed on to the bottom of the helicopter and he flew me through a bunch of brick walls. After being all "lolwut" i fell down into an odd place. I had a portal gun on my hand. Then I saw abunch of tanks from L4d. Not just normal tanks, tanks with down syndrome crawling on the ground. Not just crawling, but a swimming motion... on pavement. Then i shot them with the portal gun and words came flying out of no where saying "MARTIN LUTHER KING PHAZERR" And I was all "lol teh gun iz martin luter king fazr" Right after the epic win of Martin luther King Phazer I woke up, and was like... "what the fuck is wrong with me?"

Don't judge me.
