there's probably better places to use it in the solo to get more notes, but this is what i did.

Mine's pretty much the same. It varies in the beginning. And that seems to be the best spot to use it in the solo. But it looks like you missed a few measures in the solo part. Also, on the last SP I use it as soon as possible because it runs out right at the end of the song. I got 295K with 100% but an extra strum. _________________

The really fast chords hurt my brain. I get the first run of them then the second time the GY-GY-GY starts I just can't get it. Maybe more practice is needed. Also, thanks for the solo SP tips, I never knew where to use the SP in the solo. _________________

This might sound... completely insane, but I am having difficulty with
GY-GY-GY(hold)YB-YB-YB-RB-RY-RB
For some reason I seriously can't get the bolded transition. Does anyone have any mental or physical advice for combo-ing that part? _________________

You're actually the opposite of completely insane. Take a look at the score spreads and note streaks for this song between the top and where you are...almost all between 380-430 NS. Looks like the consensus is that this part sucks.
It took me forever to break through with this part, but I completely changed my approach in order to get it. If you up/down strum this song, that's fine, but downstrum every note in this part. Your timing will improve a lot. Repeat this fingering over and over again until you don't have to think about it at all:
Code: | YB-RB-RY-RB
23-13-12-13 |
Between each chord, there's one note in common. Keep exaggerated pressure on the frets and your fingers won't slip. If you hold down the B for chords 1 and 2 and the R for chords 2, 3 and 4 and only move one other finger, you're a lot less likely to break your streak. Hope that makes sense...for me, the part's automatic now after approaching it that way. _________________

Thanks for the advice, I think you're right about the single-strum, it seems to help a lot... Now to work on that surprisingly tricky fingering.... _________________
