considering how long its been since you've played, that's pretty good. Too bad Krim beat you to it first.
And keep trying Sarg. I don't know how many times i've died to Yuyuko's cards, though thankfully i've only lost once to Resurrection Butterfly, but i've had my fair share of stupid deaths ( losing all my lives but one to her first non and main cards?) _________________

Touhou is not a race.
It's a way of life. |

Well I finally got back into these games now that I have have found my logitech controller. Before that I was trying to beat MoF with the PS3 controller but for some reason it would not let me use the d-pad and I had to use to the analog stick. To put it in Rock band terms, it was like me playing guitar and drums without breakneck speed; I can still play it but I'm not nearly as good. Then I let other games and school distract me from this.
Anyway with the logitech I can use the d-pad so I finally got past stage 4, which I could not do before, and managed to get to stage 6 without a continue and plan on beating this and SA soon although I'm a bit rusty. I really liked stage 5's spell cards though for some reason. _________________

Going to copy and paste my guide from MotK over here:
Yeah, for 720p, I had to do something completely different. Normally, I just compiled/encoded/compressed the raw 640x480 video as a... well, smaller 640x480 video and uploaded it. The thing is (as far as I know), you cannot get the 720p setting unless the video is actually 1280x720, and that's where a trick comes into play. Keeping Touhou as a native 4:3 video, we can maximize it's resolution on YouTube as being 960x720... but in order to get 1280 width, I added blank black bars, 160 pixels in width, to both the left and right side of the video, thus cheating the 1280x720 resolution.
The programs I used to do this were MeGUI and AviSynth (can get both of these from sourceforge.net). When first opening MeGUI, it will ask you if you want to import a bunch of codecs... just choose all of them.
[Note that for recording purposes, I use FRAPS. The settings are 60 FPS and full-size recording, i.e. 640x480. I then use Camtasia to merge video files and then encode it. When I encode it, I keep it as a .avi but set it to 30 FPS. I keep everything else the same, and make sure that the audio is at a good setting (such as 44KHz). The completed file after all of this is what I'll be using in this guide.]
1) To import the video, Tools -> AviSynth script creator
For Video Input, choose your video. (a little preview will pop up of it too)
2) Click the edit tab... see where it says:
#deinterlace
#crop
#resize
#denoise
replace those 4 lines with this code:
BicubicResize(960, 720, 0, 0.5) # Bicubic (Neutral)
AddBorders(160, 0, 160, 0, 0)
You can probably see that this is where the magic happens; save all this stuff, and close the window.
3) Back in the main window, for Encoder settings, I used x264: Standalone-HD-DVD_Fast and MP4 as the file format. Click config to the right of the encoder and find the bitrate. YouTube, from what I've been told, generally likes larger bitrates for longer videos... I used 3,000 for my ~1:30 video of Resurrection Butterfly.
4) For audio input, choose the same video as you did for Video encoding above. For the encoder, I used FAAC: *scratchpad*: press config, under AAC options choose ABR and 192 (YouTube caps off around 160 iirc).
5) Hit AutoEncode, click No Target Size, and then click Queue. On the main window, click the Queue tab and click start at the bottom. After a few moments, your video is finally done.
Note that you can also cut the video with this program, but because I'm still new to it, I simply used Camtasia to cut the video to my liking. I could have saved myself a lot of work though (as this involved cutting it in Camtasia, compiling it, and then compiling it once more in MeGUI).
In the end, the video I uploaded was about 35 MB.

When I install AviSynth there's no actual program, just a load of links to example scripts o_O.
Any ideas on what I'm meant to do?
As for Camtasia, that's not no SourceForge _________________

AviSynth is an add-on of sorts to MeGUI. Use the latter.

Well, outside of randomly playing Touhou every now and then (I was into something else), I came over to my grandmas for Mother's day (or w/e today is), and played some SA. I tried re1CCing ReimuA normal perfectly, but that basically fell at Orin. So I tried Extra, beat it a second time, and also captured her first Timeout card. If only her second actually followed a discernable path...
And, I choked on her last card (Subterreanean Rose?), kinda. _________________

Not technically Touhou in the strictest sense, but I've been playing MegaMari a lot recently due to being inspired into making a Let's Play series of it. I've started it up with Part 1 on YouTube and, although beating Cirno's stage isn't much of an accomplishment, the series as a whole should be an accomplishment in the making, as I plan on defeating most bosses without weakness exploitation and hope to complete the video series with no deaths (although Patchy's fortress may prove difficult, since it's a one-sitting deal).

Nice job there. It was actually quite helpful for me to watch since now I know how to dodge that second to last spell card which was driving me crazy.
Well anyway I finally 1cc'd MoF on normal last night and finally moved on to hard. That said, I beat IN on hard last night as well. _________________

Glad to know I could be of help, and congrats on your recent accomplishments.
As for me, I'm working on a timeout of VoWG (because I'm an idiot like that), and got the timer down to 27 seconds (about two minutes into the card) before my heart rate flew into the stratosphere and I basically froze up.
