Still too pricey to possibly be worth it, IMO. I am not paying $200 + ~$850 a year more than I pay now just so I can have internet on my phone, that's more than I pay for internet in my apartment. It would be nice to actually own an iPhone, now that I'm coding iPhone apps. :P

I was really excited by the announcement, as somebody who has wanted an iPhone for a while but never had the money/timing for one. My 18th birthday happens to be June 19th, and my graduation is this Friday, so if there was ever a perfect time for a new iPhone to come out this would be it. It's definitely overpriced, but it's just so damn cool. Video with editing ON the phone?  A COMPASS?!?!
Oh wait who the hell needs a compass?
But anyway, it looks awesome..I can understand the anger of current customers, but I'm not one so I'm looking forward to it. |

It says they're doing an update, but not for the first-generation (N) And it doesn't say you'll be able to receive them but you can send them.

I realize the new OS supports it, my argument was that, at the moment, AT&T will not let its users mms because they aren't ready yet. As for the inferior specs, why dont you do the research? A 3.0 megapixel camera!? Are you kidding me? I have a 3.2 megapixel camera with editing features on a phone that I bought a year ago. Also the voice thing has been around for a while. I just love how they tout their products as being revolutionary when they are actually behind other manufacturers in almost every category. Laso I never said that their sales are going down now (although they are, though thats probably due to the recession) I meant for the future when the average consumer will hopefully make a wise purchase
Oh and to Tom or whatever, I doubleposted on two seperate comments. One was from my computer and one from my ipod sry for the confusion |

Don't be a smartass. If you would have looked at all, the 3.0 update coming out alongside the 3GS includes the ability to MMS. Besides, who really uses MMS? I don't have it, and I've never really needed it. Why not just use email?

I would be a new customer (I am on Verizon right now) and I'd definitely go for the 32GB. Hopefully it will work out next year...if I can get money to buy the phone and pay for a few months of service (rest would be a grad gift maybe idk)

All he was saying was if he had another ipod, he could take off all of the music and videos of his old ipod and just use it for jailbreaking purposes |
