The Conduit

Who else is incredibly psyched for the release of this game? It's basically going to give the Wii a game that can be COMPETITIVE. Don't get me wrong, there are other competitive games for the Wii, but this is an incredible FPS which has been designed to resemble 360 graphics as closely as possible.

Basically, the game is based on an alien invasion of Washington D.C. You're Michael Ford, a survivor who is sent to discover the reasons behind the attack. Anyways, moving on, since I don't care about the campaign mode all that much.

The best part about this game is the online mode. It will have 13 different competitive multiplayer modes, will have up to 12 player parties, and will support voice chat through Wii Speak. Players will be able to hear the 6 closest people to them to cut down on noise.

All in all, this is shaping up to be a huge release, one that could rescue the Wii and give some of its more hardcore owners something to hold onto.

The only problem I have with the graphics trying to be as close to 360 as possible is that causes a lot of watering down. Ends up making the game look like shit in a lot of ways. That and the fact that it's on Wii. The controls have a huge percentage of chance of being fucked up.

Other than that, if the controls are great, then I will be buying my first Wii Game in a year!

. I can finally turn this thing on for something other than GH3. Hopefully the online is great, then it'll be the first Wii game I play online more than 4 times. I MISSSSSS online competition, but my PC sucks for online games. Can't wait to see you guys there.

I would like to see some gameplay of the game. I generally don't like FPS's as a whole, and while I find this game fascinating, I want to know how good it is before actually getting excited. Online play isn't a big thing for me most of the time, so if the game sells out for that, I doubt I will enjoy it.

in my experience, First person shooters have controlled pretty well on the Wii. Metroid Prime 3, CoD:WaW, etc, have had fluid controlls. Graphics? Well there really is no argument because the Wii is not as powerful as the 360. However, the Wii does have graphical potential that most of the shovelware thats been jammed onto the system doesn't show. Play World at War, Sonic and the Black Knight, and other to see. These games actually look good despite the Wii's limits.

I'm pretty sure my thread on The Conduit is right on the 1st or 2nd page. It looks awesome. Can't wait to get my Wii back online and play this game. Looks to be the most promising shooter released on the Wii so far...

What's so "hardcore" about a shooter? It's almost like only certain genres are hXc.

Regardless, I'm probably going to get this for the aforementioned reasons - online play and Wii Speak. If not for those, I wouldn't even be considering this. I don't care much about the campaign, but I'll play through it to get used to the game.

Bah. Too many good games and my birthday is coming up. I don't know what I want more - This, Smash Hits, or Pikmin.

My friends were doing okay online.
Usually getting a slightly negative record.

I've never even seen the game before, but they forced me to play it.
I sucked at aiming, but I had a shotgun, and I just started owning left and right.
Like 13 and 8.

I was proud.

It's good.. for a Wii game, just hate the controls.
