$60 does seem like a lot for what's basically a 48-song track pack, but it's much cheaper than DLC and the songs/charts are better and more fun.
Everyone who posts on Scorehero and is able to afford the game should buy it. _________________

While I agree, buying a GH game on PS2 is dead cheap and semi-painful to our wallets, I mean we are sacrificing quality, online play, DLC (if it ever comes out) and the competitive edge (I mean I am like what top 130 in RB1 guitar on the PS2 but like no one plays on it, the 360 by far is much more competitive)
Also keep in mind the individual consumer: some may be absolutely DYING to play on a newer engine (GH1 songs come into mind) and for those people, it may be worth the $60. Also it's a launch time thing, you get to experience the hype first right around when reviewers are releasing the reviews, and you get it when it's popular. I mean personally yeah I wait until a game goes down to around $11 but people like the whole "I bought it immediately because it's cool to buy games at launch" idea. _________________

Please don't cry... for any new game where I live I have to pay £40 which is $65 as shown. |
Consider yourself LUCKY.
New games cost here 320~ nis, which is equal to 80$.
I plan on downloading this game, and with our prices I'm not even ashamed of it -_-

Since it's a new game of course it will be $60 but after 2 years, when no one wants it, the price will go down to $50. _________________

I doubt it will go down that low. GH1 still draws $35CAD here. |
$10 on amazon for a brand new copy
or $4.75 on amazon for a used copy |

Though in terms of games it should be cheaper, being nothing more than like an expansion pack, which are always cheaper than the main game, if this was all DLC and you wanted to get it all, you'd be spending like 20 bucks more for it. It's bad in some ways, good in other. Not much that can be done. |

GHA has been out for a year and it's already been found for $8 with guitar _________________

Maybe someone won it or it's just because people don't value it as much as the other games. It took like over a year for the price of 80's to go down. I ended up buying it at target for $50 and felt ripped off even though it couldn't be found cheaper in a store. _________________

I think the reasoning for 80's price being so high is because it didn't sell as well as say GH3 or GH2. They keep the price up because after the success of Guitar Hero 3 they expected people to buy it since it has the name Guitar Hero on it. _________________

I'm just putting this out there, the Wii's game only costs $50.
Trading in GH:WT might help decrease the cost. |

It's just a rental for me... no way I'd pay $60 for it... hell.. I wouldn't pay $40 for it. Maybe 30... maybe.. _________________

GH: Metallica is already $47 ($39 for Wii) with free shipping on Amazon. No doubt Smash Hits will follow suit just as quickly if not quicker. _________________

What is this "Toys R Us" deal that people are mentioning. I just checked the website and couldn't find anything on it. If I find a way to get it for less than $40, then I will do it, but until then, I don't mind switching my disks around manually. _________________

Amazon has lots of cheap prices but in physical stores, they stay at full price. _________________
