|
|
Unlike Guitar Hero 3 and Guitar Hero Aerosmith for PC, apparently Guitar Hero World Tour lacks the options to change the keyboard settings.
Just wondering if there's any way to change the keyboard buttons while not ingame (editing some file, using some tool or something). :x
(Sorry if this is not the right section for this, didn't know where to post it). ^^; |

Hey it's true, it came out today for PC!! (or maybe a few days earlier) and we didn't notice, why hasn't there been any updates about it on the forum? I'm sure there's already a way to make custom charts for battery. |

It was not officially released, but the European distributors already sent copies to the stores. I hope they release it before next year (literally, that is the published date on Amazon now).
The keyboard layout should be in the XML, like in GH3. Maybe they hardcoded it into the executable, but I doubt it.
The control panel for the forth guitar hero engine (GHFCP) will probably port the GH3 keyboard setup into WT, unless Aspyr beats me to it. |

Any idea how long it's gonna take to get customs working on it? |
I only buy things in real stores. I worked for an online store so I have my reasons. Besides, it will probably be double the price with shipping and customs.
I already started working on updating my libraries to support the changes, based on the ps2 files and GZ's info. I have to get the game to test stuff, and I doubt that will happen before it is officially released. It is up to Aspyr to sort out of the mess it created.

It looks like the keyboard layout is much more readable. From the looks of it, you can create multiple binding. The Menu layout appears to be for the drums as well (KICK 318).
The "Audio.BuffLen" probably changes if there is lag in the audio decoding process. |

Well, illegal advices like these ones are like deniz2099 in this forum, my friend. ;) So deleting this advice would be better for the community. ;) |

I've been poking around the files in the install directory. Custom songs shouldn't be very hard to throw into the mix since everything seems very discrete in the various music-related directories. Plus I think the game has some DLC embedded in it (so...if you didn't exactly want to pay for the DLC songs, there might be a way to get them anyway).
If I can just add my two cents, importing the music and charts from GH Smash Hits would be quite a treat.
EDIT: Sorry, that came off as a bit arrogant. I'm not trying to undermine anyone who's working to sneak custom music into this game. I'm just providing my own observation of what I found inside the installation directory.
If anyone needs some help to get this project on the road, I'll see if I can offer my own services (I don't know in what capacity but I'll do what I can).

Wait a sec, we can't post note charts of songs that are already in existing guitar games? |

No, we can't.
Read All of This, not trying to be a dick and make you read that whole thing, but it will help keep you out of trouble.
The guitar charts fall under the rule about copyrighted material, pretty much anything included on the game discs are copyrighted. _________________
