I received a pm request for these and thought I'd share:
I've been considering buying the Moder Warfare 2 system bundle just to get the 250gb hard drive. Based on the comments in here, maybe I should keep the game if I do so. Glad to hear that everyone likes it. _________________

This and Fallout 3 are the only two games in history I have truly been ADDICTED too.
I loved the end scene to this game. It just made me love Captain Price even more. I mean, watching him kick some ass while I had a knife in my chest was quite intense!
Cap'n Price <3
They totally forshadowed Modern Warfare 3! The last line of the game is "I know a place..." then the credits. |
Watch the spoilers, mate
Some people still haven't played it yet :P
MW3 seems like a complete definite. Wonder if Treyarch will ever jump up to the present... Hmm. |
No no no no no no no... Let Treyarch do their WW2 shit... Only Infinity Ward is worthy of making the MW titles. |
My thoughts exactly.
Anyways, I haven't yet finished the single-player campaign because I honestly suck at single player and have no idea why. The multiplayer is the most addicting in any game I've played, and the only thing that will make it better is if I can stay in my party chat in Team Deathmatch >.> I'm REALLY tired of playing Ground War /me hates domination |
Give the 3rd person games a try. They definitely force you to change the way you play (not relying on red dots/heartbeat sensors). I do agree though, they need to add the party chat option back into TDM and Domination. _________________

Well, another campaign that ended too soon, but another campaign that kicked so much ass from start to finish that it's almost excusable (the ending QTE's are fucking awesome). It's clear Infinity Ward cleaned up the few issues with CoD4, between the glitchy and unfair checkpoints, to the seemingly infinite respawning enemies. This was also a tamer campaign overall, with, I think, fewer elongated firefights that should make playing on Veteran less of a chore. I can't help but be a little peeved at the repeated inclusion of "intel" collecting, however. Honestly, if the items you're collecting offer absolutely nothing towards the story or gameplay, don't even bother putting them in there (I will, of course, inevitably search for them all just to get the measly 20 achievement points).
Even though I knew that Moscow airport mission was going to be in the game, I was still taken aback by the whole thing. I could only bring myself to shoot the cops; I haven't played enough GTA to be heartless towards civilians.
I hope to jump into Spec Ops and the multi-player soon (might do Veteran first). I'm hearing overwhelmingly positive things about Spec Ops, and that's great. This game is the complete package, and is undoubtedly worth every cent. _________________

Just finished the campaign tonight.
Holy. Fucking. Shit.
Honestly one of the most engrossing games I've ever played. There's a reason I took 1 night to beat MW1 and 2 nights to beat MW2.
NOT ONCE did I ever feel like I was just doing missions for the sake of doing missions. Every single mission felt like it was integral to the story and the variety is astounding. Sure it makes for a shorter campaign than nearly all other games out there, but it makes it insanely intense. Never have I felt as much rage and/or elation towards video game characters.
Now it's time to fire up multiplayer and kiss my social life goodbye. _________________

The chapter endgame was like something out of a James Bond movie and was ridiculous in the context of the game. Just throwin that out there.
Fun campaign overall though I didn't like the story. Enemy of my enemy is GAY on Veteran. _________________

It's like buying two completely different games! So cool. I've still only played it a couple times though. _________________

I didn't find it that ridiculous. Actually I thought it was less ridiculous than the end of MW1. _________________

Campaign was incredible. Played the last half of it (at least) literally on the edge of my [futon] seat. Short, but oh-so-freaking sweet. MP's a blast as usual, haven't gotten around to Spec Ops yet. Got the Prestige Edition for the NVG's, and they're badass, even just for a trophy for my desk. Can't say enough good things about this game.
No wonder it sold 5 million copies the first day in North America and the UK... _________________

Please keep spoilers to a minimum here. Some of us slower folks aren't done with campaign yet :p.
