Nothing too difficult but the songs seem pretty cool regardless. I'll actually consider getting this pack. _________________

Pavement in Guitar Hero <3
I'll definitely be picking this up, and here's to more indie rock in the future! _________________

Wow...
This is great. The songs aren't going to be hard... But I love Pavement. So much that I'm gonna take any chance I get to play any of their stuff in game, regardless of how difficult it may be. Nada Surf and Spoon too makes it all the better.
First thing I thought when I clicked on the title was "is there a chance we'll get to see more Elliott Smith" _________________

Honestly there are 100 Pavement songs that are better/more difficult than Cut Your Hair (Fillmore Jive anyone?), but then again having them in anything is amazing. |

Definitely agree, quite literally, with the "better" portion of that statement, and as for difficulty, yeah there are tons of more worthy candidates chartwise. But CYH's guitar chart turned out decently interesting at least (didn't play drums/bass), and the strumming took a few tries to FC.
Really the biggest eye-opener was realizing how difficult some Pavement songs have the potential to be on vocals, especially on the GH5 engine, given Malkmus' typically restrained and often out of key singing. There were a few phrases in CYH that I was way off on, having listened to the song and singing it to myself for so many years, always mentally inserting perceived incorrect pitches to make the melody flow more naturally I guess. Couldn't even imagine singing something like Fame Throwa or Newark Wilder that accurately. |

It's very true, but I'm still surprised just to see them in the game at all. And in all honesty, if I were going to be picky.. I might say that a song from Silver Jews would have been a better idea.
But I would love to see Gold Soundz from Pavement in the game. Such a good song >.<
I understand it might not be the best candidate for the game with lack of vocals.. But http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaFpWtcuqUI would be so fun. I'm still surprised by that last solo that sort of comes out of nowhere o.O
It might be one of those things that sounds harder than it actually would be (which seems to be the case a lot>.>).. But god, it sounds insane Almost like something that you'd have to tap to hit *starts around 1:50 _________________

Gold Soundz has got to be one of the greatest songs of all time.
I'm very impressed with this pack. I was assuming Neversoft would think that The Killers were considered "indie" so to see Pavement on here is just awesome.
I think Cut Your Hair is a great choice. It's catchy as hell, and one of their most accessible songs. I do agree that other choices would have been better, and hopefully we get to see more Pavement in the future. _________________

Harmonix games are just too good not to play them for 8 years. Officially back in action. |

Hmm... no. This pack may be great for the ears, but it's garbage for the fingers. Boring. _________________
