I'm trying to chart An Awful Lot of Running by Chameleon Circuit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAi4izfvXo4). However, I can't hear the guitar very well, and I want to do the chart correctly. I tried two different vocal removal techniques in Audacity (splitting the tracks and inverting the bottom one, and splitting the tracks and deleting one) and it didn't work. Can anyone give me tips on what to do here? Thanks!

Find a guitar tab. Though they're a great help, don't trust them blindly. If you can't find one, I guess you'll just have to develop superhuman hearing.

Go into audacity, open the file, split the stereo tracks to mono, then invert one of the tracks.

It's a very old trick used by the romans.

And that "trick" barely works anyway. You'll just have to combine a tab and whatever you're hearing into a chart that seems logical.

Make sure you're hitting the drum controller

Look for live vids, covers, etc and slow it down it Feedback. If you still have no idea what's going on, well you're out of luck and just guess the best you can.
