Need Help With a Song

I know this is a very vague request, but today I was standing outside a restaurant that was playing music inside, and I heard a constant double bass beat. It almost sounded like Cotton-Eyed Joe (same tempo and everything) but my dad was adamant that it was Bon Jovi, though he didn't know what the song was called. I was skeptical at first, but once I listened hard enough I could definitely hear Jon's voice. Can anyone help me put a name to the song?

Beyond that I can't help you because:
1) I don't know Bon Jovi songs that well
2) Knowing that it has a double bass doesn't really distinguish any of those songs from others.

Possibly Blood on Blood? The double bass isn't constant, but the beat itself is. Other than that, I don't really have an idea.

Hm, I was thinking of making a new topic, but I'll just post in here-

is there any way to find a song you know nothing about? Like I heard a song the other day, one I've heard before, but I didn't remember any of the lyrics. I could only remember the tune, but now I can't even remember that much. I might be a little OCD, but it really annoys me to not know what the song is that I'm thinking of. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's faced this problem, and there's probably nothing I can do about it unless I hear it again by chance...

If anyone thinks they can figure it out, while listening to the song and wondering who sings it, my sister suggested Garbage, but neither of us knew for sure. I looked them up on lastfm I think it was, and checked out all their top songs, but no dice. I even looked at most of the related bands. The song was definitely similar to their voice/style, but it was kind of upbeat... I can only remember one word from the song, and that's "friends" which was in the chorus I think. Only remember that because I mentioned it sounded like she sang "fwends" XD
