Very weird Les Paul strumproblem

Ok, I never even heard of this problem, but this suddenly happened to me.

My les paul is AUTOMATICALLY strumming.
I don't mean that it overstrums once in a while, but it keeps downstrumming all the time without me even touching the guitar.

Is there any ( not too complicated ) way to fix this?
Since it'd be a shame if I had to spend another 40$ dollars just to get the GHWOR guitar bundle...

Sorry if the solution to this is stated somewhere else, but I couldn't find this problem ANYWHERE.

This happened to a friend's Les Paul. When I opened it and opened his down switch, the metal connector had been snapped and the way it was positioned made it have constant contact thus constant strumming.

You can fix it by replacing the broken switch.

Here is what you can fix it with. You will need to open the guitar and remove the old solder from broken switch and solder the new switch in it's place.

This is really the only solution outside of buying a new guitar.
