So a final video was posted where Owen (from the Guitar Zeros) talks about the new game and how it works along with what to expect:
http://youtube.com/user/drfantastic11
Here's a link to the games youtube channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/1louderthan10
The guitar has a bit of a learning curve to it so Owen posted some tutorial videos on the channel and will be posting more in the future. He would also love to see tutorial videos from you guys from cool things that you learn how to do from messing around with it, so please... go at it and share what you discover! He plans on doing contests in the future, but first we have to get everyone playing so go download it and check it out if you get a chance.
Thank you all for being so patient! _________________

I really can't be bothered to boot into Boot Camp every time I want to play this.
Any change of a Mac version at all? _________________

Any way to connect a wireless guitar to the PC?
EDIT: Ewww, I have to buy something else for $30 to do it? No thanks. Guess I'll go down to gamestop to see if they have one :/ |

To answer your questions... Mac version is a bit harder to do, but they're going to try. As of right now the game is just for PC, but don't give up on it! As I said... they're trying to cover both bases.
As for the guitars. If you have a GH3, GHWT, GH5 or GHWOR wireless guitar you will need a wireless receiver for your PC which brand new will cost about $30, but you can find used ones for as low as $15 online if you look around a bit. I saw some on Amazon for $18. The best way to avoid this... Use a 360 explorer guitar since it's wired. _________________

Will it work with PS3 guitars, since those use a USB dongle? _________________

Played around with this a bit last night. It's pretty cool. I'm sure there are some issues with how intuitive the controls are, but I will admit that I just don't the musical knowledge to accurately critique the game. So I'll just have fun playing around with it. _________________

Sadly, neither my Gamestop nor Walmart had any wired guitar controllers... at all. Hell, neither of them had ANY guitars being sold separately, only in bundles... damn. |

At this point in the game you're going to either have to it online or find a friend that no longer uses Xplorers.
At least if you find one, it's probably going to be cheap. _________________

I have a 360 wired RB2 Strat that I can't use because I have a PS3. Only wired guitar I have left. |

Just wanted to note (if I didn't already) that only Guitar Hero guitars are compatible with this game. If you're trying to use a Rock Band guitar and it doesn't work, there's nothing wrong with your guitar... it's just not compatible with the game as of right now.
P.S. eddaket ... please... please... change your default pic. lmao _________________

An update from the developers:
"Today there will be an update to the game that fixes some installation bugs that some people were experiencing, and adds the ability to record a short video performance without having the background music playing. So its like ‘freestyle’ recording I suppose. We hope that it might entice more people to try uploading videos, if we add this freedom."
So now you guys can rip and shred to your own tunes if you're not a blues type of person! I'm really hoping to see people upload some crazy tracks like Dragonforce style stuff or something. ^_^
More updates to come! I'll keep posting as I get the information. _________________

Decided to make a video of my first attempt with it and upload it haha.
Surprisingly enough it didn't turn out too bad, though my webcam isn't working at the moment so it'll just be a black video.
With that being said the pull offs can be a bit weird and be pretty damn loud sometimes even after I've sustained a note for a long time, other than that I don't really see any problems with it.
EDIT: And my video is refusing to upload. _________________

UPDATE!:
Xbox 360 Rock Band 2 Guitars are now compatible with the game. While PS3 guitars are still not compatible it's the #1 priority that they are working on right now, so hold tight!
A special tidbit for scorehero peeps (hasn't been announced yet) but they are removing the webcam requirement in the next update!
Hope a few more of you guys will be able to join in on the fun now!
