encoding sensitive data in plaintext...they deserved to get hacked. Good lord, that's just inexcusable. _________________

Oh Sony...With all that money, you can't program some security? Well hopefully they hurry up and release the free games so I can play Infamous before they get hacked again :\ |

Come on Sony that's just ridiculous. They were basically asking for it. Plain text data....really? _________________

Plain Text again? I guess they didn't learn about encryption after the last hacking.

They hired a bunch of security people, but I'm doubting their credentials considering they got owned by SQL injection _________________

It's like kicking someone that's already down. It's not even "Oh come on Sony! lrn2security!", it's starting to turn into "Oh come the fuck on, really?" Lets move onto to something that actually NEEDS to be hacked and taken down, like Fox News or pay-for-porn sites (wait I'm only 16 *runs*) _________________

Yes sony gives my intermediate hacking techniques class lots of joy. I think half the class could hack sony. If intermediate hackers could hack sony, the big groups are probably just roflmfao mode with sony. how could one of the worlds leading tech companies be so bad at security?
Its what they get for fucking with someone who did nothing wrong except be smarter than them. Too bad PS3 users have to suffer along with them. |

I think the Security people were hired by SCE, not Sony in general. Sony Pictures I'd assume would have thought nothing of it. >_> |

Not sure this really belongs in Gaming Discussion, since they've already said a bunch of times that they're not going after anything related to Sony's gaming interests.
That said: you would've thought a company like Sony would have proper security in all areas. If not, they're pretty much asking for everything they get. _________________

Moving this to General Chat because as thecaptainof said, it really isn't about gaming any more. _________________

Over on Gaia (sue me) We have an established drinking game where every time Sony gets hack, take two shots.
Seems rather effective. _________________
