Any of us who can power through this game on Expert... we are a top group of gamers.
I know a friend who likes GH, yet made no effort after Hard because "I tried ILRAR once and failed it." He's awed when I say "I beat Hard in 3 days and am in set 4 on Expert."
So we'd better not tell each other we suck. Probably 1 in 275 people who pick up GH work to Expert. _________________

mmm nah, not that rare. ppl who own the game, and like it, naturally progress to the expert level. |

most people go to expert, but doing well at it...
and if you play a game every day for 6 months (or more) you're gonna be damn good at it |

I got to Expert after about a week of playing the game. For some reason I got used to it pretty quickly. Luckily, My two best friends that introduced me to the game are also l33t sauce so we definetly have some all day affairs |

I wish my friends were as big into this game as I am. They all enjoy playing it sure, but most of them are only capable of Hard, and even then it isn't too pretty. In fact, in GH2 co-op, the 2 player scores are usually lower than my solo scores due to all my note streaks being broken. It's still fun though, especially after a few drinks. |

Right now we are all kind of bunched together because the game is new.. but in a couple of months the elite players will rise above everybody else... in GH1 you can really see who the elite players are (and i'm not one of them lol). Even though tons of people beat expert to get their battle axe, etc, the scores in the top 25 and heck even the top 100 are outstanding.
That being said, in the grand scheme of things I do think a lot of us on this board could be considered somewhat elite... forums like this one tend to attract the best of the best players more than the casual players... so while I don't rank in the top 100 when I compare myself to others here, I actually am pretty good when compared to the wohle spectrum of guitar hero players out there
GH1 is a great game though, it's one of the FEW games out there that can really appeal to both casual and hardcore players. It's simple to play and hard to master and there is always another challenge.. you can always get a little better. Great game Harmonix/RO |
