I'm 13 and I have a remotely small hand which makes me struggle on the part in Knights Of Cydonia where it goes for a while. I can sometimes hit every note but when I do, I feel like I could mess up any minute. I have also tried tapping the orange note and it works well. Would you reccomend tapping as a good technique?

P.S. I am about 30k away from a KoC 5*

At first I spelled Cydonia like Cydona but then fixed it later. Wooo, talk about embarassing

I'm fairly young too and have extremely small hands for my age on top of that, so I know how you feel. Personally, I tap this with ease. Index finger of strumming hand goes on highest fret of each triplet. For the 2nd and 3rd (always next to each other) notes use index and middle on your fretting hand. Its cake, really easy to change frets w/ your tapping hand this way. I play the first triplet normally and move my strumming hand up for the 2nd orange note.

I've got big hands but i just go from second position to first, sliding the pointer finger and come back down. Perhaps that will circumvent the problem of puberty

Glad I could help and Go Blue indeed. Let's hope they win one of their last two games next year. (or maybe even this year!)

I play it by having my hand in :RYBO: position and play note with my pinky and and with my index, by sliding. It's a simple pattern, really. You do 3 of those and then a . It's all patterned like that, and once you learn how to slide your index from to , you'll get a lot better at it.

I can't always keep a combo going in that part, but I just slide my index finger from second position to first and back. But hey, if tapping works for you, go for it.

This should be all that matters. If tapping works well, and you're able to transition both into and out of that section well, do it. If something works for you, do it. There's no reason not to, even if others don't do it that way. I personally have large fingers, so this section is not hard for me, but tapping would be silly for me to try. Do what suits you best.

EASY. I feel special doing this part... however, you have to be able to stretch your hand from green to orange.

I constantly hold green through the entire section with my index finger.... then use my middle finger to hit any red, ring to hit any yellow, and pinky to hit the orange. Doing it this way will usually produce a sort of galloping sound with your fingers, hence the name of the section. I always combo this part, never miss a note.

However, if you have small hands... You would probably have trouble =(

EASIEST WAY TO DO THIS SECTION. EVER:

Hold down with your strumming hand index finger. Use your entire fretting hand for the rest of frets. This was the first section I ever tapped in any GH and it was incredibly easy. The notes go by so slowly that the only time you will miss is if you go too fast.

Um, so for that section you cross your arms the entire time? That seems a little... awkward an unnecessary. I'm assuming you elbow strum at some point.

I thought I was the only one who did this, but indeed this is a good method
