Okay, so apparently there's MUCH more to this game than I expected...
Very "deep" gameplay indeed...
This would however, be a nice excuse to play a game without your girlfriend having to be totally bored, watching you. Now, she can actively participate, and experience her own kind of fun.
Hmmm...Up until now, my girlfriend has always found REZ a rather stupid game...
Where can I get me one of those vibrators...?

Actually one of my ex gf's got herself off using a dual shock (Played medal of honor for psone, got in one of the turrets that shoots infinite and had fun), and one on AtariAge found his gf getting off using a joystick... _________________

Did your ex tape down the button or something? It'd seem like too much work to have to hold down the button and actually use it at the same time... _________________

No, she held it down... I guess when she let go enough for it to quit, she pressed really quickly again to keep it going.
Kinda like those bikes that power on a tv when you pedal, when you slow down, you learn quickly to speed back up. _________________

To whoever was asking the purpose of the TV:
That is the mystery of the Trance Vibrator. The guy who made the game(did stuff like Space Channel 5 as well(Lumines?)) is a bit of an oddball, so who knows? |

I have Rez for Dreamcast. That game kicks ass.
Kinda hard to beat it....I never did.
But, yeah, I'd buy or "not buy" it. |

There is 4 levels but when you complete them you unlock the 5th level.
The 5th level is the entire game and once you play it, you learn the meaning of life. And I swear to God this is no joke. _________________

I have Rez for the PS2, and I love it to death.
There's all kinds of cool unlockables, like the Morolian(!) as a playable character, the never-ending Trance Mission, score attack, etc. etc.
It's probably the most immersive music game ever made. |

I mind playing the last level, we couldnt get past it, and one time we just cleared it, turns out we were in practice mode
I like how the more you kill the more the beat starts to build up
Actually forgot about this game |
It has a few more levels that that from memory - my memory card corrupted not long ago (i suspect a housemate ripping it out when his character got arrested in NFS carbon).
There are some hidden areas that you have to get certain percentages to reach, there are also different themes and a few other oddities. It gets quite deep.
ohh well, looks like im playing it again to get to those features - gimmie a week. |

For the record, the Trans Vibrator actually works with Space Channel 5 as well... I own both the dreamcast and ps2 versions of rez, the dreamcast one looks significantly nicer, but I found it far more difficult to play than the ps2 version, it runs at a much slower, choppier rate. The PS2 version looks like crap compared to the dreamcast one (which to this day I still think looks incredible), but it plays better.
Oh and speaking of Transvibrators, this is the Japanese commercial for Rez, I'd recommend turning down the volume a little bit before loading it, while it's not dirty, it's definately insinuating something, so I'd say it probably falls into that NSFF category.

The game is rarer than the average game.
Not as rare as some others, but still-- it is uncommon. _________________
