Alright, so I got an external HD for Christmas. Fucking 500gb of storage space(Twice as much as I asked for). If you remember I posted a topic about my parents being ignorant fools about Rush(thought sign of Solar Federation was a pentagram). I torrented a Rush discography, and my dad discovers it, and blocks uTorrent, and deletes my collection of Rush. He doesn't empty the recycle bin, so problem solved. I also used a simple .bat file to lock my Rush music into a folder and make it difficult to find. Fucking works for a week, then I tonight I find my entire fucking hardrive wiped. No fucking explanation or warning, he hasn't even fucking talked to me about the whole torrenting thing, and he deletes well over 80gigs of games, pictures ,music,and useful applications. There was no porn, or any illegally downloaded anything but the Rush discography. Hell, the only objectionable music other than Rush is Anthrax.

I don't know what to tell you, since my parents are kind of the same way. I just give them the proverbial FUCK YOU when I leave for college and they have to do all the shit I had to do for so many years.

He's asleep. I'm looking into password protecting my external HD. It's a shame, because I said he could use my HD if he needed to. |

He's asleep. I'm looking into password protecting my external HD. It's a shame, because I said he could use my HD if he needed to. |
If your dad is anything like my mom, I could see him just taking a magnet to your external HD if he really wanted to  . |

Nevermind. I'm going to remove myself from this thread on the grounds that I pretty much hate people who take religion too far, thus biasing my opinion. I would define people like your father as a "Religious wacko," and never talk to them again, no matter how close they are/were too me.

It's basically an incredible entire issue of a magazine dedicated to Rush, it really changed my mind about them. You might still be able to buy it in newstands.
