Guitar Hero IV will be released at the end of 2008, according to an unlikely press release from British band The Answer.
Its song "Never Too Late" will feature in the line-up, apparently, after being picked out at the Marché international de l'édition musicale (or Midem conference) held at the end of January.
More than 200 songs were submitted by music companies at the enormous industry trade fair, and Activision (plus experts) chose just 20 of them to appear in Guitar Hero IV.
The Answer are obviously chuffed to bits, as sales of the rhythm-action series and its downloadable content have boosted participating bands' sales in the past.
"This is a tremendous honour and privilege for both The Answer and the Alberts label," said James Cassidy, UK boss of music label Alberts.
"With a new album due later this year we look forward to taking the band to a whole new level of international success."
Meanwhile, Activision UK stuck to no comment. |

For those wondering:
Never Too Late - The Answer
Definately bonus setlist material, but great news for the Downpatrick lads. Northern Ireland represent!!

whether it's in GH4 or not, that is one corny-ass video. wow. the song isn't terrible, but the video for it is unwatchable. way too many closeups of the Robert Plant-wanna-be singer.

While I'm interested to see how GH4 turns out, it does leave me wondering when they'll run out of songs and new features to make each new game seem innovative.
Comparing GH3's setlist to GH2's, I'd say that's already happened. But that's just a personal opinion, of course. |

That song is pretty cool; some really great sounding guitar there, but that lead singer is going to give me nightmares. I had to change the tab just to listen to the song rather than watch him sing. _________________

Sounds like a song that could be fun, but nothing to be excited about. |

Umm, GH3 was released 1 year after GH2, which was released 1 year after GH1...
And this is said to be end of 2008 - another year. So, no. It's not about money. Every GH game has had that period of time between their releases. _________________

ninja'd
thought id might as well give my opinion on the band, sounds sweet, good guitar work, very nice bass and the band sounds almost led zeppelin esque, very nice choice for a bonus (hopefully) song _________________

Definately a bonus song. The Answer aren't a well-known popular band, even in their own country let alone in the UK or abroad, so the bonus setlist seems most logical.
Also, someone should take note, this is one amongst 20 songs picked to be included for GHIV. Activision sure don't hang around! |
