I use the Import FOF songs function, the title is intact in the editor but in game it's wrong.

yeah.... you can go back and change that.... open the editor, and in the main window, highlight the song in the list on the left hand side, then edit the info in the top right corner

it should work... i've changed a few FOF imports that way.... if not, go back to the fof files you imported from and open up the .ini file for each song and edit (or add if it's not there) the line that says:
Code:

name = Bark at the Moon
artist = Ozzie Osbourne

then reimport them into GH3.... i haven't actually tried that, but i would imagine it would work...

Any chance that we get to customize the songlist switcher to for example add a button for a Metallica Hero version? Perhaps some XML-configuration file could be used?

I'm actually working on this now. Not sure it will be out soon as I have limited programming knowledge, but the app it coming along nicely. I'm calling it GHSwitcher 2.0 as a homage to Stinger33 for his great app. This is just taking his idea and running with it.

Stinger33: I can change the name if you don't want me to use this one.

Here are a couple of screenshots to get an idea

Umh...

The fact is that i'm actually working on the version 2.0 of my GHSwitcher. Your program looks great, but if you want a tip, it looks pretty complicated for the average user ;)

Sorry, but I can't let you have GHSWitcher as a name, but you can still work on it and post it here, people will just have more choices ;)

Good luck

This went poop on me. I had originally set up GH2 first. Worked ok, then broke and wouldnt save. So installed GH1 and GH80's and they both worked. I figured since they worked, I would import the songs from GH2 that I liked into GH1 as "bonus songs" so that way I could save my scores on those certain songs. Worked fine for about a day. I fired up my GH1 and got a 100% on YYZ and it didnt save. I went through the roof. Figures. I blew a fart across it, and uninstalled everything. Ridiculous. I am going to start a fresh install GHIII and start anew. It's useless to have all these games if you cant save. Hopefully this time around I will do it correctly. The identifiers were my problem I believe. Fresh one before each import this time around!

Now, I just cant wait to make my eyes bleed importing each song into each setlist lol. What a nightmare.

i know your pain... i've re-entered my setlists several times over the last couple weeks through the trial and error process of figuring out how we can do this..... Either way, i think the only thing i forgot in my tutorial ( and haven't updated it yet) is that fact that you need to copy a fresh identifiers at the begining along with the qb.pab, qb.pak, s000.d, and toc.dat... then restore the fresh copies before starting the next setlist...

but i've been running mine for a good week now, all saves work great, and i have a career going in each game.

so, for anyone having problems, rest assured, it works. Just follow the tutorials (reading stingers + mine should cover all your bases) and remember, start with a fresh install of GH3.... not 100% required, but cuts down on certain headaches.....

Thank you. But don't get too excited just yet. This is my first project in 5 years so it's taking a while to remember the things I need tog et the GUI to work the way I have planned. But hopefully it will be out in the next week or two. I"ve changed the name to GH Launcher. But will continue in a new thread once I get it to a point I am happy with.

In the meantime, I just wanted to say thank youto Stinger33 for his app and inspiration. I'm actually anxious to see his new version. It may make my app obsolete.

Ok, so i just finished updating my tutorial. fixed the couple little things i had forgotten to mention.

http://www.igotnomoney.com/ghtutorial.html

I'll probably do that video tutorial i've been talking about on saturday if i find the time.... and if i find a decent program to capture video of my desktop and my microphone input. The prog i used for my other video really kinda sucked... so if anyone knows of a good program for that, lemme know.

by the way.... sorry for constantly spamming my tutorial, but i know certain people won't be able to figure out that it's posted several times in this thread. It seems to be helping a decent number of people though, i'm getting on average about 400 hits a day to it, so.... if anyone has any suggestions to make it more helpful, i alway appreciate criticism (good or bad)

Thanks Mr.Faust. I don,t really think it'll make your version obsolete. I think they'll both be good, since they'll do the same job, or a really close one.

I'm trying to make it the most customizable possible, while keeping it simple.

it's really hard to make it simple to use^^

Razlex, I suggest you to wait till the release of the V2.0 because it won't be the exact same way of configuration ;)
