This is from first to last:

I did gh1, played it for a while, then got bored and wanted to play gh3. I then realized gh3 wasn't there. Moved the original files to gh3, and played. about a week later, I finally did gh2. I added it to the game by clicking add current gh files, then did the copy all to general folder. And Now here i am

What I think the problem is, it's that your GH2 files include the GH1 songs, which should not.

With the switcher, copy the GH2 files the GH General Folder (just the GH2 files, not all version's option). Manually, copy the files located in Switcher\Backup (qb.pak.xen and qb.pab.xen). Paste them in data\pak. Open the Editor and recreate your tracklist (the songs will already be there, but not in the tracklist). When you're done, save in the editor. Back in the Switcher, copy the current GH Files into your GH2 tracklist.

Finally, copy all version's files into GH General Folder

That should resolve your problem.

Keep me up to date with your attempts' results

Hi Stingers,

Just an update - the old version didn't work either. Same problem, I get an error when I click on one of the GH games and crash to the desktop.

By looking on the file timestamps, I narrowed the problem down to the "qb.pak.xen" file not moving properly. The other three files transfer fine (s000.d, toc.dat, and qb.pab.xen). And when I move all four files manually, I can play.

Any idea why that one file won't transfer over? This is such a pain. I turned the UAC off, and my account is the only one on the computer (administrator). Any advice would be welcome.

This is really strange. You're the first person who have any problem of a qb file being not copied. I would have said that the configuration was not made the good way, but if the qb.pab.xen file is copied...

If you made an error and the 2 files aren't copied, go to the configuration form and re-enter your gh3.exe file location

Is this possible on the 360? You can connect to your computer.

OK, I tried to redo everything now, but something strange happened.

I still have my GH3 playlist in the switcher, and I wanted to redo the GH2 one. So I copied the backup files back into the general folder and started the editor. I deleted all the songs that I didn't want to have in my GH2 list. I imported all the songs from GH2. After that I wanted to save but when I did the editor crashed! The unhandled exception error again! Well, I restarted it and then it said "The following songs do not have a corresponding pak.xen file", then there's a list of all the songs I deleted before to make room for the GH2 songs. After that another window appears with "The following songs do not have a corresponding fsb.xen file" and a list with the same songs. Again a list where it says "The following songs do not have a corresponding dat.xen file". After that the editor finally appears. In the list on the left are all songs I just imported and all songs I deleted before. That's where I'm at right now. I'm changing my setlist now....

Edit: Is it possible to stop editing in the middle and just continue later on? And can I just copy the half edited files to the GH2 folder and put all versions in the general folder and start playing GH3?

Edit2: Ok, it worked, GH2 is working and I can start a career. But there are still some bugs. When I scroll down in the shop to buy a song, the game crashes, for example.

Yeah it's a known bug, you have to unlock them with the cheat.

When you will want to re-edit your GH2 tracklist, use the Copy Thise Version Files to General GH before starting the editor.

When you're done with the editor, save and, back in the Switcher, use the Copy General Files to This Version folder.

Finally, copy all version's files

Ah, that sucks.

Does that mean I have to reimport all GH2 songs again?!?

The editor will be exactly like what you let it before saving the last time you edited your GH2 files

Ok, I put the bosses to the last place in the tier and I changed the name of three songs and when I saved the unhandled exception error showed up again and it didn't save anything.

EDIT: It works now, the editor crashed because I used a umlaut.

Most errors are caused by a bad usage, not the program itself ^^

That actually didn't work. I have all my songs, I replaced the qb.pak.xen and qb.pab.xen files, I did all the crap in the editor, and it still doesn't work. am I just an idiot?
