It's only the solo that gives me trouble. |

I finally passed this song last night... barely. I used my star power to survive the solos, where I basically mash the buttons and strum furiously _________________

During the solo just look at it and think (for strumming) 1231231231
if you take a few runs at the song to look at the solo and get a basic understanding of the patterns and work your fingers so that they can move like that, it shouldnt take too long before you can get by without star power
as for the pulloffs, they're self explanatory, theres no real trick except practicing your timing _________________

Yeah there's the problem for me, up to this point I haven't learned how to do pull-offs OR hammer-ons. Despite this I've still managed to pass 39 of 47 songs on expert... I guess I'll have to learn some time, particularly if I ever want to get all of them. Although after seeing that video of cowboys from hell on expert, I don't think my fingers will ever get that fast

The only part of Frankenstein I use pull-offs for is the BYRG runs. Every other note I strum, and I've achieved 5*s. It's not impossible by any stretch _________________

I just got 131,000 on this song my first try in over a week, which is a kind of low 4*... I'd say Texas Flood helped me with the pull offs and hammer ons, I know I can easily 5* this if I give it 2-3 more run throughs.
EDIT: I tried 3 times and got 174,300 about 2,000 away from 5*... I screwed up the YO chord combo at the end....
EDIT 2: WOOHOO 5*ed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The solo on this one is obscene!
I've only tried it a few times, the part that gives me trouble runs along the lines of: BLUE -> RED -> GREEN over and over and over at a rapid pace.
This was one of my favorite songs to play on Hard, but on Expert it is a swift kick to the nuts...several times. |

Could anyone offer some tips for those oft-repeated B->Y->R->G scales that happen after every main riff? I can get pretty much everything else in this song (with the exception of the guitar solo, anyway), and I can usually do the scales just fine, but it really borders on inconsistent with me. |

I alt strum those, so it goes down, up, down, up. I keep my 3rd finger on blue, and after I hit red, I slide my first finger over to green. _________________
