"Significant Innovation" announced in two weeks.

This innovation thing better have to do with characters/adding a story to the game or some other bullshit. If it has anything to do with adding more buttons/making solo buttons like the Strat, or adds the drums (we already know vocals are in based on a previous announcement so we can be sure it's going to be rock band rip off) then I'll most likely not even buy it and wait for Rock Band 2 to come out instead. Seriously, why can't they just leave the franchise alone and keep the traditional guitar as being what the whole game is about? Do they honestly think that Rock Band is their competition? If anything Rock Band helped split some of the players up and give everybody what they wanted. There's a such thing as going too far...

I wouldn't mind Keyboard Hero though. I play piano so it should be fun.

I just want the significant innovation to be custom songs. Other than Through the Fire and Flames, The Devil Went Down To Georgia, Raining Blood, a lot of the songs were medicore. They didn't have alot kickass songs, only alright songs. If they load songs onto a disk and we can download music onto it, WIN.

Now that I think about it, I think it's probably just gonna be a copout. They say it's gonna be significant and innovative, but so do a lot of sites and such when introducing a crappy feature.

it could be face mapping or something like in Rainbow 6. WHere you take a photo of your face with the xbox vision cam and then it puts your face onto your character!

You could do this with PS2 as well but not DS.

If it's going to included on all consoles then I would say it's not going to be THAT innovative.

Feels like a fail. I played rock band the other day and it sucked majorly. Expert was a GH tier 7 song on medium and the strum bar doesn't "click".

This has all the ingredients to be an epic fail in the makings...

If they are really thinking about adding new instruments, I really hope they just branch off of the GH series. Put out Drum Hero and Sing/Lead/Vocal Hero (maybe just call it Frontman) as separate games. I'd probably pick those up, so long as they allow you to use RB controllers.

I'd really like for the Guitar Hero series to stay as it is (maybe lose the boss battles), as I have fun with it as it is.

I don't really think it'll matter if they add just vocals though, as nearly every song in GH has vocals, and we already know Activision does make exceptions with certain things (Co-Op has exclusive songs and less songs than the single player, and paint it black has no co-op). Meaning that they could possibly keep some of the instrumental tracks (I love Jordan, Impulse, etc). And instrumentals is one of the things GH has over RB.

Opening up for custom songs, thats the only significant thing i can imagine. Where else could they go and still keep it guitar hero?
