For those of you who play Guitar Hero 1, HOW THE HELL DO YOU PLAY SONGS LIKE TEXAS FLOOD / COWBOYS FROM HELL!?!??!

I wasn't really a fan of GH 1 it was more of my bros game and I started to play it and played CBFH for about a minute and just gave up, if the only way to do this is click every single note I'm not gonna bother.

Um... patience, practice, and persistence? That's really about it in a general sense.

I occasionally try the opening part of Cowboys from Hell using hammer ons and pull offs, just for fun... I can almost consistently get it that way. But it's not practical if I'm trying to do well at it... better to strum every note.

before HO/PO's were really inconsistent because you needed to land them right on, since they made them mind-numbingly easy in this second one, people double-strum a lot more often when they try to strum every note, making the alternate strumming everyone used to love obsolete =\ I thought it was a nice change...but then I was one of the few people that could combo the solo of CFH but not play the main riff to save my life

hammer ons and pull offs are much easier in this game if you're holding down the lower button. for example, on the YOYOYOYOYOYOYOYOYOYOYOY trill in fire it up, you're more likely to hit it if you hold Y the hold time, as opposed to letting go of each fret as they come by.
