|
|
This is the third contest of the 2009 Holiday Logitech and ScoreHero Promotions!
What: Logitech & ScoreHero "Count The Notes" - Round 2
When: 12/8/09 - 12/22/09
Where: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vvy7wX6pQU
Winners Announced: Friday, December 25, 2009
Did you lose or miss out on Round 1 of "Count The Notes"? Since everyone had so much fun and wanted another shot, here's your chance!
Concept
The concept is simple: watch the video of the custom song, and count the notes that you see go by.
Sounds easy, right? Think again! The audio is again an insane shredding session recorded and authored by none less than our own talented guitarist, HellAshes. For further challenge I've hacked the scroll speed down to 0.1x, which is ten times slower than the fretboard speed on the Easy difficulty.
The song video is played with autoplay, meaning all notes are automatically hit. Obviously the score indicator would be a giveaway, so throughout the song certain digits are blacked out. Use the scoring hints to your advantage, but keep in mind you'll likely have to focus on the notes to win!
Judging Rules
New rule for Round 2: If you were one of the 9 winners in Round 1, then you are ineligible to compete again in Round 2.
In showcase showdown style, the closest counts without going over will win. For clarification, the official note count is defined as the song's full-combo note streak, which means each chord counts as just a single note.
For a tiebreaker, you'll also have to give a second count for the number of chords in the song. This will only be considered in the event of breaking a tie, and again will reward the closest counts without going over.
If there's still a tie, then the oldest registered member(s) will win.
Entry Rules
Deadline: Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:59PM EST
Since personal information must be supplied (name and shipping address), you must be 18 or older or have parental/guardian consent to enter.
Each ScoreHero member may only enter once. Registering multiple accounts to bypass this restriction will result in voiding all submissions.
To submit your entry, simply login to ScoreHero and submit the form at the following location: http://www.scorehero.com/contest.php?id=3
Up until the deadline you are free to revise your guess on that page, so don't hesitate to submit an early guess and then continue to refine it later.
Prizes
The prize structure is identical to the previous "Count The Notes" contest as follows below:
All prizes for this contest will be split by console based on your preference of Xbox 360, Playstation 3, or Nintendo Wii. There will be 3 winners for every console, which also means your competition is defined by whomever else selects the console that you pick. The prize structure for each console will be as follows:
1st place - Logitech Guitar AND Drums controllers
2nd place - Your choice of the Logitech Guitar OR Logitech Drums controller
3rd place - Logitech Guitar OR Logitech Drums (whichever one is NOT picked by the 2nd place winner)
Good luck! _________________

I like what you did with the score counter on this video, seems more active than the last one. Both of these charts are cool too, I should get them sometime . |

ItzClobert (6 days ago) witwix you do realize you are #1 in gh2 right?
witwixx (6 days ago) GH3 also <_<
FrankieBoombatts (6 days ago)Oh trust me, witwix has a poster of himself, oiled and wearing a loincloth, with two giant cement GH2 and GH3 logo's sitting upon his broad shoulders and an old school WWF Championship belt around his waist, with women laying nude at his feet.
He reminds himself every morning while eating a bowl of Wheaties, drinking protein shakes & warming up for another day of awesomeness by FC'ing Hanger 18, Raining Blood and Take This Life while brushing his teeth.
Trust me, he NEVER forgets. |
