FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
WHYYYYYYYYY?
Actually... I do enjoy their songs. They somehow made this sound better. Like they do with a lot of songs... I can't stand the show, but I love the music that comes from it. Its a bitter sweet show. _________________

We watched this in my theatre class. While I hate the song still, it is significantly better than the original. _________________

I literally hate everything Glee has ever done. I find the original FAR better than whatever the fuck this shit is. |

Ugh. That remix really sucks.
A) The drop isn't in the same key as the song.
B) Sounds like a rip off of Nuke Em by Datsik.
C) It's a bad remix of an already bad song. That's a double negative. Put one of those negatives on top of the other and that song = SHIT.
Colbert and Fallon cover is the only version that doesn't make me want to hurt innocent people. _________________

Without attempting to consider the musical merits, I can't dislike something that makes me laugh so much. So, yeah. _________________

I much prefer the "Bob Dylan" cover Though just about anything is better than the original (and it proves that really the only terrible thing about the song is the lyrics and her voice... if it is covered just right it can be funny).
I really hate what Glee does, mostly because it's so unoriginal. I mean, if they did a few of their own songs in addition to the covers I would have more respect. I just can't believe people pay money for CD's full of worse versions of good songs (or in this case, a song that is already pretty horrendous somehow made better... in the same way that putting a flower on a piece of shit makes it "better"). It's the same reason why I can't understand how kids singing certain songs on Kidz Bop makes them somehow more kid-appropriate and parents buy it... ridiculous
As for the show, I've never watched it so I can't comment. But if young people these days only know about Journey among other things because of Glee, that is a tragedy...
(And while we're on the topic of bizarre covers, look up Gregorian Chants covers of The Beatles... It's so obviously just some guy in his basement with a reverb effect, it's hilarious) _________________

If nothing else this proves that there is something of merit in Friday, otherwise how could Glee have removed it?
Seriously, Glee is the Pat Boone of our generation, turning music into blander versions for an audience unwilling to accept anything that is in anyway interesting. The fact they can even create a lesser version of fucking Friday proves how skilled they are at it. All other covers of Friday add something, Glee is the only one that takes something away. Just try and grasp that for a moment. |

I find it funny that this was posted on a forum for Guitar Hero, considering it's roots. I know only masters were used after a while, but still. Lol. _________________

Haha, it's true. Though I think playing the guitar charts to decent covers of good songs is a step above if, say, there was a "Glee" version of Lips, where you can sing along to bad covers of good songs. (because honestly, the instrumental parts are all that really matter for Guitar Hero cover...)
My sister loves Glee, so I almost bought their CD for her birthday yesterday. I would have felt so dirty doing so. _________________
