I'll be honest; I've sat and thought about it and realised that there's not really a single one of her songs where I can honestly say "You know what? I really like that one."

So for me, this death is not much more than an inevitability, the disappearance from the limelight of somebody who - from my standpoint - made far more headlines for trying to drink and drug herself into oblivion than she ever did for her talents. Which is a shame.

The person I feel sorry for in all of this is her dad. He saw all this coming ages ago (he tried to have her sectioned for her own good at least twice) and was sadly powerless to stop it. No father should ever have to watch their child piss their lives away like that.

While I don't care about her music, it's never (read: almost never) a good thing when somebody dies. My band was over when somebody read it on Facebook and they starting making drug jokes. Loltypical.

She had an amazing voice and sadly wasted it with drugs and alcohol.

While it is hard to break a drug addiction, the fact that she went to several rehabs and got sectioned at least twice and still did that stuff meant it was either too powerful for her or she thought it was better to just resign to it. A shame. She had a great voice and used to look beautiful. I feel a little sorry but it had to happen the way she was living.
