On the contrary, I feel it is completely and utterly the worst GH game, I rented it and wish I could get my $8 back. The songs are slow and boring, there's more random strums than you could ever hope for, the solo's are terrible, and there's only a few songs that really have any fun / difficulty value at all. When I can sightread FC songs in the last tier, and I don't consider myself that good, there's a problem.

I say rent it, if you like it that much just buy it from blockbuster, it'll end up being about $2 more than retail after you're done paying taxes anyways.

Your going to see different opinions, you should watch some videos of it and form your own opinion.

My suggestion though is to rent the game then see if you want to buy it afterwards.

It really depends on what you get enjoyment out of on GH. GH:A won't challenge you to pass expert at all if you've played any of the others through, but if you're not an elite player there will likely be many songs you won't FC and some of the bonus songs may take a while to 5 star. Online play works better than GH3 in some ways, but really it all comes down to your skill level. If you think a song like YYZ is hard enough, then get it.

No. It's without a doubt the worst GH game BY FAR. Even if you like Aerosmith, the songs are boooooooring.

before making like the 8th duplicate topic, think to your self, is guitar aerosmith worth it :

either

a) You like aerosmith = yes it is worth it

b) you do note like aerosmith = no it is not worth it.

The forum is completely split on whether it is worth it or not. It boils down to whether you think it is or not. Do you like Aerosmith? If not, then you probably won't want to get it. If you do and still debating, watch some videos. Yes there are some boring songs, but then again there are some fun ones too.

I've already played this game for more than 20 hours and love it. But then again, I'm a huge Aerosmith fan.

Woohoo.....300th post.

I wasnt going to make this thread longer but I had to reply to this post. I'm not an aerosmith fan, I don't really like any of their songs, and most of their songs that have been in GH/RB before (TKAR in RB, Song/Dance in GH3) piss me off - but for some reason I like GH:A a lot. I don't think I'd find those songs on my ipod, but I do like playing them in GH.

So yeah just wanted to say that you dont necessarily HAVE to like aerosmith to enjoy the game. Rent it first, see if you like it.

I'm the opposite, I like Aerosmith but hated the game.

Yes it is. Its a GH game the average person can beat without having to use a cheat device. Plus Neversoft doesn't rape you as much as they do in GH3

Straight up copy and paste of exactly what I wrote in one of those topics Beedlebub linked to:

I can only give you two recommendations.

1) Go watch the chart videos.
2) Think about whether or not you like Aerosmith.

If you do both of the above and you're still not sure, I'd recommend renting it just to try it.

For what it's worth, though I don't have the game yet (fuck you, random department stores that give me discounts <_<) I have played through a majority of the charts at a friend's house, and I liked it a lot. I think most of the people who didn't like it didn't give it much of a chance to start with.

Just as everybody else posted, look at the setlist. If you like the songs, then buy it. It is alsmost entirely like GH3 (with the exception of no DLC), but with less songs. I love Aerosmith and I think it is a good game.
