System of a Down - Chop Suey
Wolfmother - Joker and the Thief |
You can already play Joker and the Thief on Rockband. (definitely a fun and challenging guitar song)
It seems like half of the songs listed above are already in RB or GH 3.
Bummer. _________________

Thumbs down for them all being COVERS....
I'll get it but I will wait a very long time before doing so, I think.
I'll probably get the game-only version if they sell it...
I'm kinda worried about the lack of a tilted note chart... I don't really like that. I like to have the perspective like the notes are coming at me. _________________

I agree. It will be weird to adjust to the way the notechart comes at you. I'm still on the fence for this one. _________________

At any rate, I'm already going to favor Konami.
Perfect/Great/Good ratings FTMFW. |
They are here, but in arcades. Not on home systems. |

I actually don't think it's bad at all.
When I play a cover, it doesn't make me feel as if I was playbacking on stage.
Though GH/RB actually give us the opportunity to fill in for the instrumentals (save for the customs), the feeling that it's me playing there is augmented if I'm playing a cover.
I speak for myself because I can't speak for yourself, of course.
Anyway, as I stated before, I'd only buy RR for a few reasons:
-> Composer mode. OK, it'll be in GHWT too, but who knows if they won't let us put vocals in on this one?
-> Chop Suey!. I may not give a rat's ass for SOAD at all, but you gotta agree this would be a whooping lot of a challenge on vocals - why didn't HMX think of it head first?
-> Dream Theater. Didn't you guys want epic songs with more than eight minutes, like I see a lot in RB wishlists? There, Pull Me Under's epic and not as tiresome as some two-hour songs some dunderheads were requesting there.
-> Heart
-> Joan Jett
-> Mötley Crüe. Why oh why didn't RB pick one of their classics instead of a new single, for cooler than it is?*
-> PANTERAAAAAAA!!!! WHOOOOAAAAHHHH!!!!!
-> Quiet Riot
-> Ratt and Scorpions. Heh, these two were among the most funny part of GH80s (looking back now, I found the soundtrack kinda fun, even if it came from some straight-to-video 80s cop movie)
-> Soundgarden. I like Black Hole Sun, but they had the point of getting something less depressing
-> Twisted Sister. WE'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT IS FUCKING ANTHEMIC!!!
-> Skid Row, idem
-> Whitesnake. If HMX won't let me do my impression of David Coverdale, then they may suck my blue dick.
But, I've gotta say one thing. If they think they'll make me play/sing that little Avril Lavigne bitch's song, they're in for a heavy fight. I'll do the unlock all cheat over and over (or fiddle all around with the composer) so I won't have to beat the game and have my ears harassed by that plastic poser Barbie doll. The same goes for those Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects and Korn faggots. Oh, and those lameass guys from The Killers too (I mean c'mon, Somebody Told Me? That's not rock, that's disco dance, dammit! Couldn't they have gotten anything better?).
*Actually, this brings me to a point. Why the hell is HMX lately leaving so many cool bands behind and picking up alternative toxic waste instead?
PS: Sorry for this outburst. No offense to anyone. I don't want to be stoned out of here. I just hate the bands I mentioned, not people who likes them, so please don't stone me. _________________

I agree. Covers are SO 2006. I'll hold my final judgement until the game actually comes out. |
